Jones may move to CF. Also, I think Nola comes back.

He cant play center, hes not that good defensively. This is a position we will definitely see a newcomer.

Totally agree, I'm just basing that off of what we had coming back. I think it's safe to say, whoever takes that spot will not be as good defensively as Landry or Mahtook.

I agree that Jones may move to CF. If that were to happen, Lowery would likely be at 2nd. What about the kid from UNO that transferred last year(Bruno?). Isn't he a 1st baseman? Also, I wouldn't be surprised if someone from the incoming freshmen class pushes for early playing time like Jones did this year.

Wouldn't mind seeing this, although I think his pro future is in the infield. He definitely has the speed and athleticism to make the transition.

Jones might transition to SS
Hanover could go back to 2B
Jamie Bruno at 1B or rumored JC transfer coming in
Newcomer at 2B or 3B

Rhymes could play 2B but I think he is projected for LF
Lowery health might limit him to utility and dh

Katz could play 1B but his arm is needed in RF
Watkins will compete for OF with JC transfer, Sciambria and anyone else who comes in

IMO
Katz, Watkins, Fields, Edward, and J Jones are all potential outfielders next year.

I think Hanover, Nola, Lowery, Bruno, and maybe J Jones in the infield.

He came from Tulane and struggled somewhat while there. He did have a big season during summer ball. Will take a wait and see approach with him. Rumors going around on the recruiting board that we got a commit from a juco 1st baseman so that can be another option if true.

From the sounds of things, Arby Fields is supposed to come in and start CF.... guess we'll have to wait and see how good he is when he gets here.

What's the point of coming back after we win it all this year?!?

I'm extremely concerned about our outfield next year. I think our infield will largely be the same with perhaps some shifting at 1B. OF is the biggest concern considering their inconsistency this year.

Its way too early to guess what the INF or OF will look like. Too much versatility and too many question marks. Plus the incoming class/draft.

I just say as long as Watkins isn't in the lineup, lets get a lineup and stick with it, that to me is a huge reason Ross hasn't developed at the plate because he was never really able to get into a groove. Of course we are going to have struggles with young players but you have to deal with the struggles

I would hate to shift some guys out of INF to OF but like said above, some are candidates. Hopefully we get some consistency from our recruiting class because our OF sucks right now and CF will be a massive gap to fill.

I agree I think we'll see an incoming freshman crack the lineup. Anxious to see what Evan Powell can do.

Need legitimate 1B and 3B that can hit AND field. So many mental E's were contributed by the turnover of guys playing 1B with little to no experience at the position. If Jones changes positions Hanover seems much better suited at 2B.

1B - Jamie Bruno

2B - Jacoby Jones

SS - Austin Nola

3B - Tyler Hanover

the INF is pretty much set. Unless Nola is really really really set on just going pro.

only question is 1st base. I think Bruno gets first crack.

Jones needs to get his shite together and man 3B or move to the outfield cause Hanover is a 2B and is playing out of position and its so obvious! Shouldn't we have a legit SS coming in if Nola were to leave which he shouldn't, who could man 3B for a year?

I think LSU originally had intentions for Jones to be a 3B or SS.
