the INF is pretty much set

Not really. Jones could move to CF depending on what happens in the OF. Hanover could move to 2B or stay at 3rd. Nothing is set at 1B, you have Edward and Dozar, who I think are both pretty weak offensivly, possibly Katz, Bruno who for some reason people areound here think is the second coming of matt clark, plus juco transfers. Has Lowery played any 1B? Then if Nola leaves, thas another open spot, could Jones go to SS?

Like I said, its too early. We have alot of guys that can play multiple positions and very few guys who are settled in at one position. Other than nola, if he comes back, I dont think one postion player has any poistion locked up for next year. Maybe Ross, unless we get another C that can hit...

I think Hanover will be the only current infielder still there next year. Jones to the outfield. Bruno or recruit at first. Juco transfer at SS and probably another recruit at whatever position Hanover isn't playing.

You think nola is gone? I expect Tyler to play, just not sure if it's at 3rd or 2nd.

Yes. He's going to be picked higher than people think and he doesn't have a lot to gain other than playing with his brother, but I hope he does come back.

I could see Jones in the OF, he definitely has the athleticism and we desperately need a good OF with Mahtook leaving. They're already inconsistent as it is.

The possible Jones move was mentioned on one of the TV broadcasts a couple weeks ago. They wouldn't have just said it out of the blue without hearing Mainieri mention it as a possibility. Several draft reports last year said he could be better off as an outfielder.

Jones has also gone into CF late in some ballgames. It would be interesting to see what position he plays in summer ball.

Also, what about all the two-way players listed on our roster?

It seems like we would want to get them on the field some when not pitching if they can hit at all.

Don't be surprised to see Hanover leave. Jones will be in CF next year, Bruno at 1st and Nola at SS

1B - Bruno
2B - Hanover should move back after a tough year at 3rd
SS - Nola
3B - Jones

Hanover leaving makes no sense...I highly doubt it happens. 4 year solid college player.

Joe Broussard in particular, im curious what he can do with the bat in his hand. He use to crush the ball in highschool.

where is this coming from?

PM or just internet speculation?

Nola and Hanover arent going anywhere.

Neither seem like a candidate to play in the major leagues. Nola cant hit, has had a bad year defensively, which is supposed to be his calling card. He isn't particularly fast, doesn't go to his right very well.

Hanover will never play in the MLB, i think he has no future at the next level. He is having a bad year this year. I dont see where people will draft a 5'6" guy that cant hit.

He did play CF in one game this year, maybe more than one. But it was speculated about on the radio broadcast the other day.

ETA: If Nola and Hanover stay, which I think is somewhat likely, and Eirman comes to campus, which is slightly less likely, then I could definitely see Jones moving to CF, with Eirman playing either 2nd or 3rd.

ive just heard PM talk up how good of an INF Jacoby could be.

we'll see. i realized he played a little OF, but if our OF is as unproductive on the corners next year as it was this year, then we'll be in trouble regardless. Though Katz has came on strong lately, which is promising.

Do you think he will be drafted? If so, what round range?

I can see that. I would probably say closer to 10 than 20. But do you think he is going to improve on that by coming back?

Nola is going to be drafted in the top 10 rounds. Why? because he is a great defensive SS with a solid bat.
