Both Hunan and Maggio's Deli have a 50% off Double Take Deal online right now.

had pocorellos today. old lady who took my order was rude and unfriendly. she didn't even say hello. i walked up to the counter and she just looked at me. i asked her what was in a few of the salads and she actually sighed, rolled her eyes, and listed a few ingredients. i could tell she was really aggravated. i said is there a kids menu and she just mumbled something about half orders. i kept saying "thank you" and she never once said your welcome. just kept giving me shitty looks. i almost asked her what her problem was. gave us our food and didn't say another word to us. the sensation salad was gross. powder parm and about 8 black olives on some soggy yellow romaine. been in the fridge at least a few days. kids wouldn't eat their spaghetti. i bit down on a hard thing in the meatball. dad liked the eggplant parm.
i'm not going back there again. they were rude as hell and the food was blah.

what u get at waka ?
We ate at Waka last week and the best thing I had was the Eric Roll I believe it's called.......roll topped with salmon and avocado. Delicious.
Oh and Duang Tawan, which was one of our go-to places for sushi, has a For Sale sign out front so I think it's done. They had some family issues which is sad. They were nice people.

kind of a stretch comparing applebee's to a somewhat pricey sushi place .. don't you think ?

Is that Chinese dump still open? I think that it is on the corner of Sherwood and Old Hammond. It would always amaze me how people could eat there. I passed by that place at lunch time last year and that place was packed.

I was thinking more their Thai lunches which were on par with Applebee's lunch prices.
What the area needs is a killer noodle shop, especially pho.

Although I have been to Ronnie's Ribs 3 times to try to figure out why so many people who's opinion I respect like it, I have not as of yet solved that puzzle. Jasmine's a few blocks away is much better, IMHO.
I feel the same way about Jasmine's as you do Ronnie's Ribs. I've eaten at Jasmine's several times and the food has ranged from meh to not that good...I don't get the love for that place, unless everyone is basing their love on that one dish the Rocket Shrimp, which I've never had.
Coffee Bean on Coursey is absolutely delicious.

I like ronnie's lunch buffet .. never really eat dinner there .. jasmine's is good too, IMO ... I don't really expect white linen, five-star dining out of $9.99 entrees at neighborhood restaurants either ...

Portbello's and Chimes East are also two very good options along that corridor.
Sherwood's had a lot of change with places like Brewbacher's and Pieworks going out of business.
