Any ditches & ponds left behind when the water recedes.

There should be plenty of places to catch them now as the water rises.
Back in '91 when the Ouachita damned near crested over its banks you could go in some places and scoop them up as they crossed roadways.

Are crawfish prices going to go up or down? I'm having a boil in nj June 4th

Crawfish prices will be going way down. For us to sell to the supplier it was cut to 1.35 today. Talked to a local buyer and he said they are expecting them to get as low as 40 cents.

The guy I get my crawfish from says that the basin crawfish have been of low quality. I paid 55 a sack for high quality mediums.

The spillway will be full of city slickers and padus. There will be a shitload of people out there. Be ready to fight for a spot. Try to find the out of the way spots to avoid the crowd. There was a field of peanut grass along the trestles that was still flooded a few years back that we caught 6 sacks out of it a few hours.

BCS was some bumper crops as well as catfishing several years after the BCS was opened late 90's. People were concerned as to the damage to the eco system in the ponchartrain, but it was short lived.

They always have an algae bloom in late July in the lake which kills a few baitfish, and you have the media acting like the whole thing has turned toxic.

My daddy has been catching 30+ sacks per day all week. The basin is a good place to start
And if you know where to get them, you can get them for $40.00 a sack right now
