Smart move by them, since our LB core is loaded. I'll take Grant over DePriest any day.

Thanks for saying it so I didn't have to. I've attended enough games at the shoe to know the entire stadium holds their breath when Pryor drops back to throw.

Cam really wasnt all that consitent either. He was just used so that his legs would free up recievers. If Pryor was used better his passing percentages would skyrocket. Way easier to throw to a reciever that has ten yards on the secondary becuase they got faked out of their jocks by the qb play action.

until hoke pulls a guy from ohio state which ohio state actually wanted...he is not doing anything RR didnt do previously....
if hoke believes stealing guys from toledo or cinncinnati is going to get him leaders and legends titles than he is silly.
losing ware and depriest hurt. those players fall into that 1% who look elsewhere.

Yah, I was in Denial at first, but by the time November/December rolled around everyone close to the situation knew he was a dead man walking.

I think Hoke will turn out to be a solid hire. Harbaugh was a can't miss guy, but I'd take Hoke over Miles.

If he put up comparable numbers, it would be more because the schedule than anything.

Well see about that, but DePreist is gonna be a stud. Drawing Ro McClain comparisons already. He's gonna crack the two deep at LB as a true fresahman, in a unit that is better then OSU's

You laugh now, but Michigan is at there best when they recruit Ohio well. Hoke is gonna do that. 4 Ohio commits already.

...like cam newton you mean? point is JT needed to give TP more opportunities to succeed using his strengths and he failed to do so.
TP is a flaming moron but he was correct when he stated he was not being used appropriately.

exactly.
put TP in a spread option like system and he owns.

Any CB that allows for 10 yards of seperation off a simple play action shouldn't even be on the field.

Did you watch any Auburn or Michigan games?

I think the reason Tressel kept a short leash on Pryor is that he knew OSU would be in a great position to win every game as long as Pryor didn't do anything stupid. If you try to maximize his impact in the offense, he could play like he did in the Rose Bowl against Oregon. Or he could play like he did against Purdue in 2009. I think Tressel thought OSU's best chance to go unbeaten was to remain conservative. Conservative was easily enough to dominate the vast majority of OSU's opponents this past year.

He won't be fired. No LOIC or FTM charges = minor sanctions and a strongly worded letter placed in Tressel's permanent record . . .

Yes. I know PA gives QBs a bigger window to hit, which is shouldn't because CBs should have pass first mentality and not even be looking at the QB. TP might improve some, but it wouldn't be Cam Newton dramatic. He's too stupid. A slot could be streaking down the field wide open and there's a 40% chance TP would miss him. Just last season, it was embarrassing to watch him miss wide open receivers from the South Stands.

Failure to Monitor basically means Tressel's assistants were breaking the rules and he didn't stop them. In this case, it's not a failure to monitor, it's his own violation. He's screwed, period.

No hes gonna get hit with unethical conduct. So that equels show cause, which equels unemployable for the duration.

attempting to run a pro style offense with a TE/WR as your QB might be the cause of this. ohio state is more successful when they are run their shotgun spread...problem is they do not do it consistently and effectively enough.

kid has broken most osu qb records. yea he misses some passes but the kid has been the real deal.
31-4?
only buckeye fans would complain about a qb with that record
