Bama fans complain about GMac and he was 24-3 with a national championship. Sometimes you can win in spite of QB play.

31-4?
only buckeye fans would complain about a qb with that record
We're not saying he's incompetent, but I am arguing that the record would be worse if the played every game as the focal point of the offense. Horrific QB play was probably the biggest reason for both losses in 2009. It's not a matter of the right system, it's just the fact that half the time he only looked for Posey and the fact that he throws jump balls more often than Tyler Bray did this past year.
Against Purdue in 2009, I remember he scored on a play in which it was pretty obvious he wasn't even looking where he was throwing. It was like he was playing 500. This past year he also threw a touchdown pass to Sanzenbacher, but I'm pretty sure Posey was the intended reciever.

He's also played more than any Ohio State QB.

bullshite. Cam Newton is everything Terrelle Pryor was supposive to be.
I like what he brings to the table. I still get awed by some of his plays. I'm just tired of his shite.

Forgot about that gem. He just threw it up in the air (almost like a punt) to Posey. Luckily for TP, the Purdue DB looked liked he had no idea what the frick was going on and just fell down.

GMac's record seems very similar to that of Tee Martin (Martin was 22-3 and would have probably had the same record with the expanded season). I know there are exceptions, but looking at the past national champions, particularly in the BCS era, it seems pretty clear that it has been more productive to field a strong defense and supporting cast on offense and just hope the quarterback doesn't blow it instead of having a quarterback carry you.

No doubt. I can probably think of multiple occasions where would roll out in one direction, and then turn around and run all the way across the field and score on the other side.

screw this i'm done. if people aren't counting tp's on the field stuff then i'm done.
just haters.

Did you take your Michigan logo off for this thread?

A great record for a player that has supreme athletic talent and the smarts of an 8th grader.

TP can play, there's no doubt about it. I didn't read where anyone said he cannot play. All I read was he could stand to be a touch more consistent.

I only had it on during the NCAA tourney. Took Woodson down when the Indians started kicking arse.

Cam is no smarter. Scheme, Scheme, Scheme.

Gotta love Malzahn's one read and run offense. Kid is fricked if he gets drafted by anyone that requires more than 2 reads in their passing game in the NFL.

So then why isn't Terrelle being talking about number one overall in 2012?
