Observations of weekend series vs. Vandy

1. Mahtooks mom is hot, sisters too.
2. Tyler Hanover is not 5'6. I'm 5'5 and 2 inches taller than him.
3.Gausman has good stuff but Vandy has great hitters and adjusted well third time through the lineup.
4. Alex Edward swings at too many pitches out of the zone. Sucker for the low pitch.
5. This Tiger team will not make it to Hoover.We will be fortunate to finish out final 12 SEC games 6-6 even though it is against teams at the bottom of the standings.
6. Vandy will go to Omaha this year.
7. Mikies mom is hot. Oh, I said that already.
8. Even though we got swept it was a great weekend for baseball. Got to see all 3 games. Met and talked with Spencer Wares mom and grandparents. They even invited me over to the team hotel and introduced me to Spencer. He signed a ball for me.
9. Got a signed Mahtook ball too.
10. LSU and Vandy players showed alot of class during handshake. Almost all Vandy players seemed to enjoy the chance to meet Ware and even the catcher and Ware spoke.

i was there all 3 games too, but didnt find many positives other than we didnt lay over and die today

I was only able to go to todays game but was very proud that they didn't quit. Didn't understand why CPM took Dozar out for Edward(Edwards last AB was pretty terrible). I was sitting in right center and got pretty sick of these two hecklers that wouldn't leave Mahtook alone.

Not enough consistent back to back hitting.
Vandy can string together 6 hits, LSU can't right now, need lefties in the lineup to counter different pitching you see.
Pitching has potential but young. Again, need lefties to changes up pitching style you can throw out there. Relief dropoff is too much from starters.

Also good to see Watkins and Ott look like they are improving, wish I could say that for more hitters in the lineup.
I have a feeling Jacoby is about to take off at the plate for the rest of the season, he won't see better pitching than he saw this weekend.
