Out of all those we need the C and LHP the most.

I think LSU could use all of them!

Obviously it's more likely that we hold on to the guys 180 or lower, but you never really know what's going to happen.
Definitely need the LHP.
We've also got the number 36 and 61 JUCO draft prospects with Brent Bonvillain at Delgado (I think he went there from Nicholls, but I'm not sure) and Nick Goody, who is shooting up the draft charts because he hits the mid 90s consistently. Goody's height is a concern for MLB though.
Austin Southall is number 13 on the JUCO list, he didn't have the grades to get in last year, but I think he'll be going pro soon anyway so I doubt he evern comes to LSU.

I'd say we need a shortstop

We need outfielders and a 1st baseman. I am not sure who is behind Nola, which probably means a SS would help out.

Our next SS is playing 2B right now.

You think? They could play him at so many positions really

Those seem a little high for the guys at the top. Are those rankings for draft eligible players or just high school seniors?

I think it's just their ranking against HS guys, which means that probably starting about where Baranik is, we've got a really good shot at getting those guys on campus.

That would be my guess also. The college class is so much deeper than normal it's hard to imagine a guy like Cave being in the top 20....even though he will be picked relatively early.
The guy from Missouri also plays SS, but is supposed to be a good athlete and can change positions.
Losing Davis and Koziol has really killed any depth we may have had this season.

I think Eirmann will either be a OF or 2B. We've also got a JUCO inf coming in, but I don't know what position he plays.
ETA: Have you looked at Goody's stats lately? Insane.

Ray has been playing a lot of OF according to the box scores.
Have you seen Goody's strikeout numbers lately?

@ Goody
Strickland has some crazy numbers also, but I'm not sure what classification he plays in.

Tyler Moore that high is an absolute joke... Aaron Johnson is pretty awesome.. Much higher than 500... Lefty throwing mid 90

It is high school ranking. Hard to say where ranked vs entire draft. PG does have contacts with s good bit of the scouting community. The missing piece is signability which is being determined now. Usually clubs expect to sign guyd drafted in the first 10 rounds. no doubt this list will see some changes in the next 6 weeks.
