I'd say he at least makes it to 70.

I think that he will coach until he is 67 so 3 more years.

He will do that in 3 or 4 years, I think he will stick around a bit longer then that..... I mean what else is he going to do?

FWIW Dean Smith retired at 66, and Bobby Knight at 68.

Eventually of coarse. He just doesn't seem that close to retirement to me when I watch Duke play.

at the rate he is going that might be less than 3 years

You never know. He seems healthy enough to keep going indefinitely. But he's accomplished enough that he could retire today and have no regrets.

It's all about what he wants to do at this point

Has severe back issues. May really play a role in him retiring sooner rather than later.

You know he's made it to the NCAA tournament every year since 1982-83, the 94-95 season i think they may have missed but he only coached 12 games because of back surgery and exhaustion. Thats incredible.

since 1994

has anything changed in that respect? seems like he's done a lot better since he missed most of that season due to back surgery

Is that why you think he'll retire at 67?

About 15 years ago Coach K had completed his transformation in appearance to the Duke mascot and stopped aging

I think he had a hip replacement in an offseason 7 or 8 years ago, and with his back surgery in 1995, he said he doesn't have much pain anymore. I think he was closer to retiring in 2007 than he is now. He has had a good time coaching the NBA players and his job is pretty comfortable right now. He doesn't have to recruit a lot of players since at least half of the team committed to Duke without visiting other schools, and he can focus on 2-3 targets a year.

I remember Boeheim said that K looked and felt much younger than he did.

I think he will go until 70. Curious to see who will be the next coach. Hope Brad Stevens gets a look. I know K thinks very highly of him. Other options could be Johnny Dawkins, Tommy Amaker, Chris Collins, and Mike Brey.

Boeheim is another guy who stopped aging. I expect we'll find a decrepid picture in one of their attics.
