I'm hearing from some of my tailgate crew that they won't be able to afford the new parking fees being imposed.
I'm not too happy about paying either but damn, that's less alcohol I can buy now.

Schedule is not optimal to spend a lot on either....I believe Oregon is a home game lost as well....

Good more room in lots and on campus for real Tiger fans like who support my school

You have to admit that prices are getting ridiculous to see a college football game. Not just picking on LSU, it's across the board. Just saying it's not fair to say you're not a true LSU fan if you can't fork over thousands of dollars for college football. Especially when every game is on TV.

I hear ya!
We'll be cut in half and only doing 4 games

I think we are going to try and split everything. An extra $150 a year per person and a lot more carpooling.

What are the new fees?
Most parking spaces on campus are going to cost $$$

Parking either $20 and $40 per vehicle and $50 per trailer per game fee too.

That's a lame post.
The cost of parking is a bit absurd. I can understand why some people don't want to spend the money for it.

Wait, so I can't just drive up early in the morning, find a place on the grass, and set up anymore?

Posted on 3/5/11 at 11:38 pm to DeafJam73
it's completely absurd, not "a bit"
i think it is 100%, complete, and utter horseshite that i will be charged $20 to park in the hayfield lot, A frickING MILE AWAY FROM TIGER STADIUM

Holy shite!! Then don't. Either don't come or get there earlier and park for free.

what does this mean? the time i get there is irrelevant. and where is there free parking? the fricking thrift store on burbank?

Was the excessive trash on the campus really the cause of the parking fee or is there more to it?

What do you mean what does this mean? The time you get there is irrevelant? The time you get there is directly proportionate as to where you will park and how much you will pay. I park free, on Nicholson, in front of the track, every game.

i get there plenty early. i choose to park in the hayfield lot because it's free, or was free, it's an open area, there's no hassle if you have multiple vehicles and/or a trailer, and it's relatively easy to leave after.
i didnt renew for tickets this year, and theres no way i'm going to go tailgate, give money to local BR businesses, buy LSU gear on campus, a program, etc., something i would absolutely otherwise do. it's dumb, i'm not going to pay $20 to go tailgate, period. you may say, "well, youre just 1 person", while true, you can bet your arse there are A LOT of others who feel the same as i do. in the end, this will hurt LSU, and i hope it does for the way they have alienated so many
not for long. over/under 5 years before you have to pay to park ANYWHERE on campus?
