Jerry Lee's on Greenwell Springs has really good cracklin.

If you cross the Bridge, Bergeron's on 415 has good ones too

Florida Blvd? If so, i had some a few months ago and wasn't too impressed. Seasoned great but not very meaty. I may have to try some more.

Anybody around here from Welsh? If so, is the Welsh Meat Market still in business?

jerry lee is much better at boudin then cracklins. ronnies is the best you will get around here. now if you feel like a 15 drive to erwinville go by andre's they are not spicy but they are fresh and legendary.

I haven't been to Ronnie's in about a year, but I used to work in BR all the time and get the crackilns from there, and they were some of the best I've ever had!

And make no mistake about it, I've had plenty!

They were plenty meaty, and seasoned perfectly.

Ehh those are more pork skins to me than cracklins.. I like a bit of meat on the end. You always have to get them fresh though.

I would say Ronnies also. Knotts meats in Zachary are pretty good bc they are big and have a lot of meat but no comparison to Ronnies.

Yeah but that doesn't mean their crackin isn't good. Most of it is cooked through well (I hate it when there is mushy fat in the middle).

Plus they have great beef jerky
