Best Season of Lost

I never watched Lost while it was on air, so I decided to start watching on Netflix. Currently, I'm on the 2nd season, which I think has been great and more entertaining than the 1st. Does it continue to get better, or is it all downhill from here?

1st and 2nd are good. the last and second to last are good. the middle leaves something to be desired but i'm kind of a lost homer so i like it all.

I think 2 was prob my favorite, 1-3 are amazing though, I started to notice some decline in quality towards the end. The last season was a huge letdown for me after the greatness of the first 3 seasons IMO

I liked Season 3 the best. When I think of Season 2, all I can think of is Michael wandering around screaming "WALT!"

I loved season two.
The last half of season four is phenomenal.

I couldn't tell you which season was best but the episodes where Desmond was the focus are the best.

The last episode I watched was the one where Hurley sees his friend from the mental hospital. The way they were able to portray all of that was really awesome. And each of the last 4-5 episodes had an awesome twist at the end. I end up telling myself I'll watch one episode before I go to bed, then 3 hours later; I finally turn it off.

Haven't gotten to this yet. Last I saw of Desmond, he was running away leaving Jack and Locke in the hatch to man the button.

Season 2 was the best ... 1-3 were still very good
then they wrote themselves into a corner and the show continued to jump the shark. i stuck around b/c i was invested, and was disappointed by how it ended.

People who say season 2 is the best are out of their minds. 2 and 5 are the worst seasons. Other orders are contestable.

Blow me.
You just have some irrational hate for Season Two.

Its just the season that introduced us to Ana Lucia and had Michael bitching almost every episode about his son. I don't hate it, its just I was often annoyed while watching.

Pretty much how I feel.

Well, I've only seen 1 and 19 episodes of 2, and without seeing how season 2 ends, I'd say season 2 is better than season 1 right now. It's really close though.

To be honest, its more in hindsight. Going quickly and running through the episodes, its hard to tell since you are just glad to be viewing new episodes. I was thinking the same on my initial view (went through it in like 5 days), but on rewatch its not as good. Plus you don't have a week like many of us did to evaluate each episode and go through the holes of each and debate the direction the season was headed.

I have a tough time picking a favorite season.
But I'll say without reservation that the first third or so of season 5 (up until Locke left the Island by turning the wheel & the Oceanic 6 returned on Ajira 316) is my favorite stretch of the show.

Just go ahead and skip season 5, its a big waste of time.
