there is nothing for him to gain on that show IMO
IMO her show would have a ton of people upset about the dog abuse and it would be more of a sideshow with yelling and crying than anything productive
I say that as someone who doesn't have a lot of sympathy to Vick

Bitch. What he did was wrong, and from what I can tell, he's very sorry for it. The man did his time, now it's time for people to get over it.

If true, I think it would have been better for him to do it. Just so these animal rights people can move on.
Posted on 2/17/11 at 11:35 am to tiger73
I'm not sure that is true at all
A lot of people haven't heard exactly what was done to some of the dogs
Much better for him to quietly apologize and move on wtih as little attention as possible

A kid I worked with didn't even know these dogs were tortured and executed. He literally thought they all "died in the ring" and was fine with that. He started hating on Vick after he heard about the water and golf cart batteries.

Vick killed dogs. Did 23 months in jail
Stallworth killed a human. Did a month in jail
Plexico shot HIMSELF in the leg. Did a year in jail
Something is wrong here

The world will be a better place when that fat tub of lard is off the air.
She can have OWN or whatever.

Vick got off easy...the county DA poindexter was aware of the ring and had probably taken payoffs...vick avoided state prosecution and dog fighting is not why he did 2 years.
The only thing wrong is plax never should have gone to jail and stallworth should have done way more time

Michael McCarthy of USA Today reports that owners of dogs rescued from Vick’s rural Virginia property had been “flooding” Oprah’s show with calls and e-mails requesting that the “voices of the victims’ families” be heard on the show.

Plax went to jail for not having the gun registered properly...2 years???
That's an injustice especially since bloomberg ensured he would receive unfair treatment

Go read up on the actual "crime". Had he not been drunk, the same thing would have occurred. A guy ran across a highway and he had no chance to make it across.

Oprah was going to blindside vick?
That would be surprising considering she was a major Vick apologist from the get-go. I only remember because I thought it was odd she called Virginia the "Deep South" when referencing his upbringing as contributing to his deliquency.

Why did Vick go to prison?
Killing dogs should not be prison-worthy.

while gruesome, i pretty much agree

Why did Vick go to prison?
pled guilty to conspiracy
i'm sure they could have gotten him for illegal gambling, tax evasion, etc. he pled to conspiracy

Vick went to prison because he was the first high profile dog-fighting case.

This is getting fricking ridiculous. Let it go. They want the "family" of the victims to apologize to him first? Bottom line is, it's still a fricking dog. When people do their rodeos and bullfighting, do they think those animals actually enjoy that shite?
