Unfortunate what a severe knee injury can do. Career literally never started. Did he even get to take a snap? I want to say he at least got in before he was done for good.

Oh yeah. That didn't last long did it? I remember he was tearing shite up in practice before that injury.

He was ahead of Bowe and Buster until the injury.

Where he was ultimately kicked off the team for pulling out a sharpie and signing the ball in a spring game after scoring a TD. He had the talent, but didn't seem like he had the head.

The WR spots were wide open going into 04. Amp Hill would have had his chances.

Seems a bit drastic. JMO

Nonsense...that was a good kid who basically lost his entire athletic career before it even got started. As was said earlier, Amp hill was supposed to be the sure thing in that class...which also contained Bowe and Davis. Not a bad word was spoken of him as I recall while he was at LSU...

The thought of those three guys on the field at the same time is scary.

Think of Hill Bowe Davis and Doucet on the field at the same time

It wasn't the only thing, but it was the straw that broke the camel's back for him. He seemes fine at LSU (attitude-wise), but I heard that he and Levitt got into it a bunch at USF. Then again, Levitt is a dick. I don't condone a college kid pulling out a sharpie in a Spring game after scoring a TD against backups. It is a "me first" act.

He would have been really good. Sucks that he never got a chance to prove it.

I watched him at a spring game, the kid was amazing. Then he transferred, I was really annoyed. I thought for sure he'd tear LSU. He was a great athlete though.

I was a student in sports info at the time, and he was battling Skler for the playing time in the slot (I know he wasn't a slot WR, but they were giving him some reps there).

He was going to be the #4 WR going into the year. No doubt... I wasn't at the practice the day that he did it, but I remember talking to another student that way. He came away from practice and he was just shaking his head at how bad it was.

My cousin was a walk-on WR at LSU when Amp was there. He said Amp was a really nice guy, funny but dumb as a brick. Instead of saying "What's happening", Amp would always say "What's Ampening?".
