Hey Eric. Glad to see you again offer nothing to the rant. It's easy to sit back and be a fatass critic of what other people are bringing up.

any guy with a hornets avatar should be shot then have his chain sold to a pawn shop

Come on. Don't hold the prick against all Hornets fans. There are plenty asshats here who don't like the Hornets.

It would be a wise move put a small package in for Magee. I have seen him play a number of times and he isn't a "athlete" playing QB. He is a QB who is a "athlete". For all of the praise he gets as a runner the guy is extremely accurate as a passer.

Our "wildcat" truly sucked. It was a sight to behold.

The Wildcat offers sooooo many options and since we're a run first team anyway it just makes sense. Not to mention we have such great personnel for the package like everyone mentioned before.
It's also a fairly "simple" 3 WR (QB out there) package since we're talking about simplifying our offense this year.
does anybody know if kragthorpe has any history running the WC elsewhere?
Personally I'd like to see it run 8-10 times a game, I know that might be a lot but if feels like you rarely lose yards on those plays, even if its just a short gain up the middle. Also I'm so sick and tired of seeing RS get the ball with no space/time. The wildcat gives him a chance to use that vision/speed/change of direction and hit a home run.
A RS break out year would not shock me.

Wildcat for LSU?
Wouldn't that be something considering the music to "Hey,Fightin' Tigers" is adapted from the Broadway musical, Wildcat.

didnt murphy get like two carries from the wildcat?
Direct Snap to a RB lined up at QB with no motion man is not the WC. Just a QB draw.

First off, I own no chain. Secondly I am not fat. And third the point of my post was to just point out that leu is perfect for anything according to you rantards.
We need an offensive identity. We should stick to our power run and a pass game built from that. The last thing we need is another 300 formations without the ability to run any very effectively
Also back off the hornets. It's basketball season and LSU sucks. The saints are done. I am a fan. So don't be a douche.

Its good that Miles is open to the wildcat.
Shep can be the motion man, because he's fast.
If you cant pass you cant scare anyone from the wildcat.
Without a passing threat at QB/wildcat, its just a fancy running formation without enough blocking.

If you utilize it like Malzahn does or like Arkansas did with McFadden, Jones, and Hillis it could be a great option for our offense.
Wonders if he knows malzahn was the OC for the hogs when they started running the wildcat.

I just hate the idea of these gimmick offenses.
Just line up and bust some heads

gary crowton. he did not know how to utilize the offensive personnel. i could see it plain as day but i had it confirmed by the father of one of the players recently. not at liberty to say who or when but what he said amazed me. glad gc's gone.

Fair enough. I agree that physical football and blowing people off the line is the way to win consistently in the SEC.
My point is that sometimes those type of teams become predictable and are at a great disadvantage if they get down, which is going to happen. LSU seems to consistently produce multi threat guys (Early Doucet, Shep, Magee?). Putting one of these guys in the shotgun may not be an offensive scheme that will work, but mixing it up will require the defense to either prepare for it, call a timeout, or stop it - only used maybe 10% of the plays during a game.
