My suggestion is to see what feels the best in your hand and what your use for the weapon will be. Some say Kimber, while others say Colt or Springfield.

Piss on what others say. Make sure you can handle and enjoy the gun.

I love the feel of 1911s. I have picked up several in the past at gun shows just looking. I shot a Springfield 1911 and liked it. I am just not that familiar with the different brands and such. 1911s seem to be like M4s in a way. Many brands and mods. Kimber, Colt, Springfield, Para, etc. Not looking to break bank buying one though.

I love my Springfield, but 1911's are addictive. I want another one.

I own two 1911-A1 LOADED and I have been pleased. One probably has 1500 rounds down the pipe.

Remember, one is none and two is one.

You should buy the STI Trojan I have for sale.

Ive had good luck with the 3 Kimbers I have/had. Springfield and Colt make good pistols. You could go all the way with a Wilson, Les Baer, Nighthawk, etc.

Ya. STI makes great guns. I just dont shoot pistols enough to keep 2 1911s. Im keeping my Kimber TLE/RL Pro and selling the STI.

I really wish I had the money to buy it.... I've been wanting a 1911 in 9mm for about 8 years!

Why would one get a 1911 in any other caliber than 45 ACP?

Just about every gun Remington has put out in the last years has been just, this includes the 870s and 700s. I would would stay away from that 1911. Oh and by the way I am in the process of trying to verify it but I have it on good source that Remington is quietly behind the push for shelf life primers. If so I call for immediate boycott.

Ed Brown...Best 1911 on the planet. Better than Wilson, Baer, and Nighthawk.

I have a Springfield GI model and am very pleased with it.

Another option is to build your own. I want another one and I think I'm going to build it myself.

I have a Colt Delta Elite 10mm.

That is one SWEET shooting gun. It's one of my top 3 guns.
