"One Eyed Dog"

"Waiting in the front yard, sitting on a log;
Single shot rifle and a one-eyed dog.
Yonder come my kin folk in the moonlight:
Louisiana Saturday night."

It sure does make hunting at night a lot easier...

We always called it the "one eyed beagle"...

Nonetheless, it's a spot light.

I've never heard a spotlight called that. Must be a SLA thing.

Always heard headlights/spotlights called "one-eyed beagles" used predominantly for rabbit hunting at night.
