Is Ben Roethlisberger the most overrated QB in NFL history?

PTI is debating who will go down as the greatest QB? Brady or Big Ben. Really? What kind of debate is this?
Big Bens 1st super bowl: 9-21, 123 yds, 2 ints & .221 qb avg.
Big Bens 2nd super bowl: 21-30, 256 yds, 1 td, 1 int & 93.2 qb avg.
Greenbergs argument was that he "extended the pocket." Yes, ok, he also has one of the best o-lines in the NFL... And he leads the league in sacks! Brees, Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Rivers get that pressure but they step up in the pocket and get rid of the ball.
I admit, I dislike Big Bem pretty good. I also dislike Rivers just as much. But I respect Rivers. I just do not get the love for Ben.

Please tell me they did not actually debate this in a serious manner.

Ben doesn't get pushed around by girls in bars.

No, not even in the conversation.

Not the most overrated but he is definitely overrated. He is nowhere near the class of Brady.

Big Ben is an improviser.
I don't mind QBs like that.

Good, not great. He's not in the top 3 quarterbacks of his era.

Dude is on the verge of winning his 3rd Super Bowl in six years...the fact that this topic is even being discussed is mind-boggling to say the least.

Yes he is overrated...He has 2 superbowl rings w/ a possible 3rd in what, 6 years?... Yep, definetly overated.

10-2 in the playoffs...

quote:This is the problem, he's a very good quarterback. Unfortunately, lazy morons like to look at a team achievement (championships) as a measure of a player's greatness. The word "overrated" doesn't mean the guy sucks, it means he gets way more credit than he deserves. This seems to happen often w/ QBs who happen to play on championship teams that rely on other great aspects besides the passing game to attain that success.

EXACTLY
the dude has won 2 superbowls LARGELY because of defense (his 2nd having the greatest defensive play in superbowl history). His 1st superbowl ring was won in spite of him....over half the qbs in the league would have won that game with that team.
