Saints/Katrina has been played so much anything LSU/hurricane related can't match the Saints/Katrina angle

Not really. Because most around the US do not think Katrina affected LSU students. They see it as a NOLA, then a Gulf Coast thing.

Rita? Are you kidding?

Well, they would be stupid to think that wouldn't they?

seeing as many many players on that team were from Southeast LA, people would be foolish to think it didn't affect LSU.

Rita moved the Tennessee game to Monday Night and threw off our SWAG. It has a place in the story.

I'm personally sick of it. Every time the saints are on tv you have to hear about it. That's why the rest of the country was happy when the seahawks beat us...cause they're sick of hearing about it too.

Not enough controversy. You could make a 30/30 on Harvey Williams or Cecil "The Diesel" Collins, but even that is reaching a little.

Or...

"What if I told you a team blew a 31-point second half lead..."

Make a 30 for 30 on LSU-Kentucky Mardi Gras 1994.

This. It's time to move on. Everyone is tired of hearing about it. If anything, it makes us look like we can't get our shite together.

They could really do it on all sports in LA that year. BUt really, LSU's story is much better due to the fact it was Miles first year and that team was full of NFL caliber athletes.

And didn't have a bye week and still went 11-1 in the regular season.

Fox sports did something a while back about that season that was pretty good.

Yep, been done already. I think it was called "Eye of the Storm"

Not nearly as good as a story that covers teams that really were impacted, say Tulane and the Saints.

I think he means how the football team was under a brand new coaching staff, but had lost so many practices and meetings due to the chaos.

There were maybe 1 or 2 other things occurring on LSU's campus because of Katrina. For instance, we found out that the number of Blackhawks you can land next to the assembly center (being used as a large scale triage clinic) is 5 at a time.

I think the Saints Katrina thing is played though.

So landing helicopters on campus was a huge sacrifice for LSU athletics - more specifically LSU football ???

Got it

That should make a riveting television story ..

ETA: I guess they could also add that jamarcus russell shared a house with Fats Domino. I am sure that was catastrophic.

That was just one example of why the events on campus may have an impact on football... glad you got it. I thought I was going to have to spell it out for you because I know they teach reading comprehension and critical thinking at Purdue, but not at other snotty arse private schools in Indiana.

I think the Katrina thing has been played though.

It might actually paint a positive picture of LSU. No way ESPN does this.
