I have a friend who has been having an issue with a goat roaming around her property and destroying things. What is the best way to capture the goat without harming it? I know, I know, but they don't want to kill it.

Rope it. They aren't all that fast typically.

A piggy trap would probably be your best bet

Or a qualified goat roper

Goats love sweet feed. Get it coming to that and you may be able to get close to it. I am guessing this one has gone feral. My dad's goats come running when they see you walking to them with feed.

The last two thread titles I read made me laugh.

"Advice on buying a tomahawk"

And

"How to capture a goat"

This sounds like a fun drunken endeavor.

Definitely sounds like an adventure that would start with the famous words "WATCH THIS!"

If he's using a bridge to get to your neighboors property you could dress up like a troll and hide under the bridge, and see how that works

Things you need:
1. Coffee can or other container
2. Corn
3. Rope

Put the corn in the coffee can. Goats love corn and will eat it out of the can. When goat eats out of can put the rope on its head.

Question 1: Does your friend live outside of the city limits where a firearm can be legally discharged?

Question 2: Does she own a working firearm?

If the answer to both is yes, then you have your answer.

This. They will eat it out of your hand. When it does, grab the stubborn bastard by the horns and start dragging him. It can be a fun thing.

Our neighbors in Texas raised goats. We had a line of field fence between us. Those little suckers were constantly sticking their heads through to eat the green grass in our field. When they'd pull back, their horns were caught and they'd scream their heads off...It was just like a gill net. Can't tell you how many times we had to go unhook them from the fence.
