If true, we saved about $500k to put towards Les' selfless contract

Why would Les not use the coaching search as leverage to better his deal as it is the most common tactic in the business world?

Fans are emotionally tied to a school and feel hurt/angered/shocked when coaches do this and the AD agrees to the contract - but it is what happens all the time in the real world.

It would be naive to blame the coach when it should be targeted at his employer , the AD.

I'm not taking any of this seriously until it becomes a sticky. Just saying.

I would love to have a deal that helps both teams. Not sure that this would fit the bill, but given that LSU is my real team, I still like this potential development. My kids who are Terps fans first, but well acquainted with LSU's offensive challenges in recent years through my moaning and complaining, may not be so happy.

Maryland does have 3 years left with a very good quarterback Danny O'Brien. Coach Crowton may be able to thrive in that situation.

Holy crap they think they are getting a "BYU-esque" passing game with Crowton.

I think most of us knew Crowton simply had to go...and even Miles knew. But Miles does it in a classy way as always...

That's all fine and good as long as it doesn't cost us a good OC. Many of the moves have already been made. That's why I don't like it dragging out.

The same people in the know that said Miles was leaving? If you really had a damn source you would name it.

Please no, say it aint so. Not the Not-So-Wizardly-One. Is there anyway I can put up some of my own money to persuade him to stay here.

i have no hard feelings against crowton and though i do hope he goes, i wish him success there. perhaps if he gets OC that fits with him in there his coaching wizzardry can become more concrete. honestly i have no idea if he would be a good coach or not. i will be quite interested to see how he would do as the top man.

good luck gary, and lets go find us an upgrade!
