I've been through many a job interview for projects that I really wanted, but didn't get the job.

And with all of your negativity I can see why you didn't get those jobs.

You keep calling people out to show proof of what they post but you just throw out your bullshite negative opinions. You need to show proof of STFU.

Please find a post I have ever made where I said anything negative about Les Miles.

I am simply interested in whether or not Michigan has ever actually offered the football head coaching position to Les Miles either now or in 2007. If you don't know for certain, kindly replant you head back up inside your arse and go on about your miserable life. Thank you for offering nothing to this thread, and good day, sir.

Michigan was looking for a coach and he decided to stay at LSU both times
It is my opinion that Miles was not offered the job either time.

Yes Miles was their #2 choice. Both will say there was no offer, but we know.

Phatcat,

Jordy broke the news Les was staying on Otts show saying UM put a "substantial" offer on the table. I take that as he was offered. You decide for yourself.

How do you know exactly?

Miles gave every indication that if offered he was going to accept the coaching position at Michigan. After his interview, he has decided to remain at LSU. It appears that he was only interviewed and was never offered the position.

When you interviewed, did the company come to you or did you go to the company ? Think about that

not true
If the job is not offered, it is not in his court.
..it is not his decision

I think he was the frontrunner but he didn't want to publically decline his alma mater. He will tell everyone that it was a courtesy visit because he is a Michigan man and that he went up there to help them find a coach. That keeps them respectable and he doesn't get under the gun for looking elsewhere at jobs.

Link?

Schad said this, but Miles never said one way or another whether he was leaving or staying until today. He claimed he was staying prior to today, but was never seemed 100% LSU (leading many to believe that if offered he would leave). As far as I know, Miles never said he would leave if offered.

For those who know how these things really work it is OBVIOUS that Michigan wanted Les Miles and Miles turned them down. It has always been a characteristic of Miles to be a gentleman: and Miles will cast the best light possible on Michigan. The truth will remain private between him a program that he will probably one day be part of -- probably as the AD.

After all is said and done, did Michigan ever tell Les Miles that the Head Coach job at Michigan was his if he wanted it?

Your agenda is clear. How about this? You can't prove they didn't and I can't prove they did.

They did roll out the red carpet and you're trying to split hairs to cheapen Les one more time.

frick off and die if you don't like it he's back.

Really? Care to show me proof Les was offered a legitimate contract to UM? I love how you have absolutely no proof other than he interviewed with them and random internet sources, but I am the one who can't see fact in that.

and do you have proof they didn't?? I think it's hilarious that all of you anti-Miles people are crying in your conflakes today. Get over it- he's our coach and if you hate him that much then stop following LSU and making yourselves miserable.

Does any of this really matter? Offered, not offered!!! To the sport minded public Miles was offered the job. A job he should have wanted but he stayed with the better program. Miles is being talked about in the media like he is a coaching god on Mt. Olympus with the other coaching gods. Seems to me, whether offered of not, LSU is looking pretty good right now. A program too good to leave even to go home to the once elite Michigan. A program that a coach does not leave voluntarily.

"The job was never offered to them," Brandon said in an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday, referring to Miles and Jim Harbaugh. "We did have different discussions with them that were helpful and positive."
