Does anyone actually think Patterson would leave TCU?

His team just won the Rose Bowl, will likely finish #2 in the final polls. Will likely be top 5 pre-season, school is moving to a BCS-AQ after next season. Hes locked up till 2018. I don't think he goes anywhere.

Still don't see why TCU is going to be top five losing their quarterback.

just because TCU will be a BCS AQ conference member doesn't mean they'll get any more respect in the polls portion of the BCS rankings... isn't that an issue this year? if TCU were in the SEC this year, he'd have effectively controlled his own destiny for the BCS title.

And again, why does his contract matter?

You could argue the same about Miles (minus the alma mater factor)....and at least Patterson would be coming to a serious contender next year........but I still hope Miles stays.

Since i know friends of the family...Im gonna say ZERO chance. I wish we could put this to rest. Patterson is not leaving TCU..they are entrenched in Fort Worth.

I doubt he would leave. The AD has to give it a shot though. Who really saw Saban leaving the NFL for Bama?

I agree, that guy is not going anywhere or he would have already been gone.

this is so rediculous. Any coach will leave any place if you double their salary.

You still make him an offer and make him say no. Because it's easy to be "entrenched" when the opportunity doesn't exist. Much harder when it does.

What great jobs have opened that would warrant him leaving outside of UF, which went after Muschamp? LSU is the best job opening this year outside of UF.

He's about to log more travel miles than just about any other team in the country when they move to the Big East. I'd leave yesterday with their pending travel schedule.

You spelled ridiculous wrong and we aren't doubling his salary. No way in hell we pay that much.

Aside from the top 5 preseason comment (they're losing a ton of sr's, so they'll fall in the 2011 polls), I agree wholeheartedly. He's paid well, and he's incredibly loyal to the school - he views that program as the child that he reared, and I don't see him leaving at the precise moment that the child peaks. Also, putting the prestige of coaching LSU aside, he knows he has a much higher prability maintaining success and making it to the NC game in the Big East. He'll be recruiting and ultimately coaching Texas talent, playing against east coast talent. No-brainer.

Patterson stays.
