After re-watching the UA All-Star game, I am even more impressed with La'el Collins. The guy made the #1 prospect in the nation a non-factor until Collins got hurt.

Hope he recovers quickly and fully from his ankle problem.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Collins.

IMO Collins is the #1 recruit in the nation, he neutralized Clowney who is the biggest beast to come out in awhile, I was very impressed,....great kid,

Exactly. The rollup from behind in the contest was just a re-agrivation of an injury he sustained recently. All three future Tigers were clearly among the top ten performers in that game.

For the love of the recruiting gods, please stop setting this kid up for the "bust" tag!

He will not start next year. Will he get playing time? Maybe, but he has several seasoned veterans in front of him. College ball is a whole world different than HS......even the Under Armour bowl.....

Some of you are so brainwashed by recruiting sites and blinded by college coaching ignorance.

Let me very clear on this however. He is the brightest LSU oline prospect since Whitworth ......and his star potential is shining brighter than Andy's.

...care to wager a 6-month TD ban on Collins not starting day 1?

Let me tell you something feller.

I know a lot more about oline than you think.

absolutely.

I know more about college oline development and recruiting than the avereage bear. Collins has great potential talent, but Tfr olineman are typically the latest bloomers and LSU has proven depth ahead of him.

I will take Faulk, Hurst, Shaw, and Josh D ahead of a true freshman if only from the perspective of playbook knowledge and assignments in a live SEC setting.....

Ed, 3 simple questions:

Did you play college ball?
Have you ever recruited for a college?
Have you ever coached in any capacity for a college?

I make honest/real life predictions that are fair in managing expectations of an incoming pup.

With some of these numbnuts' assertions, should La'el not start next year, he will be dubbed a 5* bust and that is damn unfair. Kid may very well become the next Bill Fralic, but people will likely end up dragging him through the mud before he's given a fair chance.

In all fairness, he won't be battling most of those guys for playing time.

Faulk and Hurst, he most certainly will.....and Greg will be in the RT mix.

Hurst will end up at RT, and I seriously doubt Collins will end up anywhere other than LT

Collins will battle Faulk for starting LT. I think he is starting by midseason.

Yes, Faulk is the one he will be primarily going against.

Guys, Les will put a pup at RT waaaaayyyy before LT. If he plays above his age level and to his POTENTIAL, I would give him a solid chance for time at RT.....not LT.

We have a seasoned bunch coming back and have no urgent need for an incoming talent to be hurried in his development.....Auburn, well, that's a whole different story. If he did go there, yea, he'd be starting day 1.
