I'm a business owner and an lsu fan. My cousin has been an oline scout for the 49ers for a long time. We watch many hs games together.
Just my opinion, la'el is THAT guy to get excited over

You act like freshman cant play at a high level on the line, some are just that good. Collins CLEARLY is.

being a business owner is irrelevant to the discussion, but if you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, well......
Big Ed, I agree he is a player to get excited about, but so was Al Woods......solid space eater that people ridiculed when he wasn't Lavalais Part II.
BTW, I am an Engineer and an LSU fan too

It's Joeckel.
I have said he has seasoned SEC lineman ahead of him that will keep him from starting. Don't spin.

Yer haw that's great. I was giving vague answers to your questions. I've never once come here throwing around names and that BS. But I do come here often for convo about recruits....

That doesnt mean they are better. Dworacyzk has never been very good, Faulk hasnt started yet, but probably will, Lonergan obviously has his job on lockdown pretty much, RG is a huge ? mark who plays there and Hurst will probably start. I've said it once and I'll say it again our best line next year would be if we moved Hurst to guard and start Collins at RT. That's a better combo than Blackwell/Hurst, Hebert/Hurst or Williford/Hurst. I also think Collins would play better next year than Washington or Shaw would, he's that much more talented.

IMO Collins is the #1 recruit in the nation,
No, just no.

well the couple times I saw Collins blocking Clowney it wasn't much of a match, just saying
and far from a ranter here, just saying what I saw with my own two eyeballs

So you being an engineer has what to do with knowing shite about college football???
I'm not saying he will start either, but the fact you were asking people questions like:
quote:
Did you play college ball?
Have you ever recruited for a college?
Have you ever coached in any capacity for a college?
I make honest/real life predictions that are fair in managing expectations of an incoming pup.
Got me thinking you may know what you were talking about, then you go and say something like this
quote:
I am an Engineer and an LSU fan too
Well who gives a f*ck? As far as i'm concerned a guy who works at a burger joint has just as much input at football as you do. I'm an engineer and an LSU fan too, does that give me a right to come on here and chastise other people who think he will start next year? Hell no! And I don't think he will start, but i'm not saying he absolutely can't. Hell after the way our OLine played for most of the year i'd say at the very least he gets a shot.

Jeez. They are both stars. Collins was getting beat, and then figured him out( or Clowney got tired), and then Collins contained him. Those 2 are the best at their positions, and both should be high. Picking one over the other just depends on what you like. I would say Clowney, just cause he is so explosive, but I could understand someone projecting Collins to be better.

yeah, but now he's an engineer, so he doesn't know shite, duh

A 49ers OL scout's cousin vs the strongest incoming lineman in LSU history circa 1989 vs an engineer. This is gonna be a war.
