Mallett or Cam Cam at 1 would be up there with JR in terms of failure...I'm sure they would LOVE to trade it and pick up a couple of picks but it's going to be a hard sell IMO. No QB or Suh like player out there yet...I guess we'll see after the combine/Sr. Bowl/etc if there is a guy that teams start to fall in love with.

trade it

Not too many teams anxious to trade up and force themselves to spend $50 million on an unproven rookie.

Of course, that could all change if a new CBA is agreed upon before the draft with a rookie salary cap in place.

I say they sign/trade for Vince Young

There are going to be more free agents available than just Vince Young. I know Vick, Orton, and Alex Smith will be to name a few.

Who cares? now New Orleans wont have to put up with Luck twice a year.

Neither will the Falcons!

Todd McShay is all over him. I haven't heard much otherwise.

CBA will defiantly refine or start a rookie salary cap. I think both sides know this needs to be done so this reduces the risk of taking a QB with the first pick. Still, not one QB stands out as a must have with the first pick. Unless a team falls in love with Cam Newton because he is a rare type of of QB with both unique passing and running skills.

Luck is staying at Stanford... maybe implying that Harbaugh will for at least one more year as well

No scandal that I know of... but kinda a shocking decision given the money he's risking losing

Never mind just saw the thread.

They should look at Bowers, Fairley, Green, and Peterson if they keep the pick. If they trade down, then they need to snag a quarterback (Gabbert > Mallet imo) and fill out from there.
