It is a shame we tried to make Jefferson a running QB. SEE VIDEO!

LINK Now we will have a passing qb and it doesn't really matter, but Shepard needs to get the ball out of the backfield more often. It gets painfully obvious halfway through the video. PERCY HARVIN TYPE ATHELETE!!!

It is scary to think what Shep could do in the "Percy Harvin" role. I still can't believe B. Gonzales has not insisted he get touches in that capacity.

Watch out, around here people think Shep is a bust b/c he can't break tackles like Jerome Bettis and only averages 6 yards per carry.

Yes he might not be able to carry people on his back, but he is very elusive.

Shep is a HS legend in Texas, and that's saying something. Most who observed him playing against the best HS competition in America can't figure out the lack of touches. Talk about under-utilized.

We suffer from having 3 5*, #1 WRs on the field at the same time. The offense couldn't decide who should get the ball.... and didn't have QBs who could reliably get it to them.

36, 33, and 31 catches respectively for Toliver, Shepard, and Randle.

so whose catches should get taken away to throw it more to Shepard, who can't catch?

He still has two years left...I think his remaining years will be very productive.

so they won the state championship? got to the semi-finals? the quarterfinals?

I understand it's Texas, maybe his high school wasn't the best, but he got to the third round of the playoffs.

Corey Webster had much better credentials than that, and he did it in 2 sports.
Brandon Jacobs got to the semifinals literally by himself.
shite even Trovon Reed got his team deep into the playoffs twice pretty much by himself.

What makes him a HS legend in Texas?

just to let you know I like Shepard and I agree he's under-utilized, but he's not Percy Harvin, that's like saying Jefferson is Tebow.

and i'll throw this fun one out. Tack Minor is probably more of a Texas legend. Didn't he score like 70 or 80 points in a game. I don't care how much you ball hogging, that's impressive. Just too bad he's an idiot.

You gotta wonder if the coaches are watching game film. This guy is a weapon we are not using enough.

Why the hell did we stop running the read option with Shepard at QB and Holliday at RB?? That was money. How stupid are the offensive coaches not to get this guy involved more?? And then...they put him at WR where he makes a minimal impact??
