Now I'm nervous

Living here in Houston, I'm surrounded by Aggies. I've even become friends with some of them. Friday night I'm cooking a big ole pot of gumbo and having a Cotton Bowl party. So far the guest list adds up to this:
- Me and the wife - I'm an LSU Diehard, she graduated from LSU too but doesn't really get in to football
- One Aggie couple who are the typical "Gig'em, whoop whoop" obnoxious fans, he was in the corp and did the whole bonfire cult thing, she's all in as well
- One couple that is a laid back Aggie and a pretty cool Longhorn.
- One Aggie couple that are laid back Aggies and just like to drink and party
- One couple that's just there for the gumbo.
- One Texas Tech couple with ties to Baton Rouge that pull for LSU over everyone except Tech (they're my only allies and I can count on them to back me up big time)
After watching the Hogs screw the pooch last night, the possibility of a aTm victory, and me outnumbered in my own house by F'in aggies that range from "rabid" to "could become rabid given the situation", and really only one true Tiger there (ME) I'm starting to wonder if this was a good idea.
I love the Tigers, but after the last two seasons, with the JJ/JL roulette wheel of QB execution and the Gary "my middle name is incompetent" Crowton play calling, I'm not so certain about this one.
I better make the wife hide my guns, I don't want aggie blood on my hands if we lose.

It sounds like things may get out of hand with the A&M diehards and you will have to throw gumbo on them. Better make sure it's hot....

maybe you should have another pot of gumbo for the non cajuns and slip a little exlax in it, they will be so busy going to the john they can't really get into the game

Sounds like you've lived in TX a little too long; you forgot how to spell gumbeaux...

Spike the gumbo with a couple of drops of acid and watch the fireworks. It would take some of the attention off of the game at least.

we are not going to lose to A & M. Not even with our offense.

Hey man, be a good sport, it's only a game. But if the Aggies win, don't be shy about firebombing their cars when they leave your place.

Politely ask them to wear handcuffs until LSU is firmly in the lead.

Yu should join our party in Katy….All LSU fans and we are making a Gumbo as well. We have done this at the same guy’s house for the ’07 Championship and the Saints Super Bowl….Lets hope the tradition continues!

All I ask is why?
Why subject yourself to what will run a close second to a root canal w/o juice?

If one of them gets too rowdy, tell him to "look at the dead bird!"
When he looks up in the sky, kick him in the nads.

I too am doing the exact same thing. My demographic includes zero aggies a bunch of Tigers a bunch of longhorns and a Tenn alum and UGA alum. Im not worried but Ive got an assload of money via office bets with Ags.
