Usually a very accurate draft site. Peterson
currently 2nd, Nevis 25th, Shep in the 2nd round,
Toliver and Barksdale in the 7th and Jai is currently holing down "Mr irrelevant" the last pick in the Compensatory round. Ingram to the Saints in the first fwiw.

PP even laughs at Dion Sanders. Sanders was a very average cornerbak. The only thing that made people think he was good was his speed. He could close quickly. He also couldn't tackle worth a lick. PP will be much better when its all said and done.

PP is better at run defense than PrimeTime was (see the attempted tackle at the goalline against Bama), but that is it.

Sanders was an elite athlete but according to most pundits so is Peterson. Peterson is much bigger than Sanders and has more upside as a safety at the next level IMO. That's not to say he can't play corner because he is a great college corner. I just think an Ed Reed type safety is more valuable in today's NFL than an elite corner. Deion was fluid beyond compare IMO. Peterson exudes power and confidence. Two different types of athletes but both fun to watch. Only time will tell how great PP can be. In college he was every bit as good as Sanders in his on way.

Trent Richardson is a BEAST and hasn't been the same since PP7 shut him down on that play. Richardson won the battle (scored), but PP7 won the war. Dion would have watched the guy skip across the goal line.

A 3-4 defense will not take a 285lb nose tackle. Nevis is a 4-3 player all the way.

he will be a freak combine guy, and im sure they will play him at CB first though
I could see him playing the "Woodson" corner style. Lock up on WRs, but also a little safety/blitzing mixed in.

Peterson is more comparable to Woodson than Prime Time, IMO.

Couldn't be more wrong.
Of course Ed Reed doesn't have PP's cover skills. But I'd even take Troy P over Reed

I wouldn't compare him to any of those two. And certainly not Woodson.

Ed Reed is a center-fielder type, he sits back and reads the QB's eyes, then makes a break towards the ball. Not comparable to PP's man coverage skills.

Isn't that what I just said ?

This is like comparing Andrew Luck at this point to Joe Montana or Johnny Unitas!

rod woodson

PP needs to be as good a CB in the NFL... he packed on too much and he lost a little fluidness.

Barksdale in the 7th
This partially explains the challenges with the O line. Was Whitworth the last high pick of an LSU OL? Been quite a drought.

i do agree that a corner is more valuable.
The most valuable positions in the draft are:
franchise QB
left tackle
pass rusher
lockdown corner
That has been the trend teams have been drafting. Corners don't get picked up in top 5 as much b/c they are a bigger gamble than the other positions.
