Watching nice 8pt.

Then I see something in the back ground.

And watch the elk bend the timer to allow more corn to come out for the deer.

I guess one of the neighbors elk got out of the high fence (notice red tag in his right ear). If he is still their next week it will be lights out.

And yes I croped the pictures so no one can get the web address.
I gave the address to someone last year and it was forwarded so many times I couldn't even get on and control the camera in the mornings and evening.

That's awesome. I had a buddy kill a big 6 x 6 Elk whilst deer hunting in Delhi La a few years ago. In case you're not familiar with Delhi, it's not really known for it's monster elk herd. This one escaped from a local Safari park. He consulted the LDWF and told him it was legal to choot it. So he did. Then mounted it.

Damn, I wish one of those would walk out in front of me. Elk tastes way better than deer.

They are in a fense, and when you shoot they just look at you like "So? That was just cousin Earl."

Those are breeder does that we don't want shot. We are bordered by 3 sides of high fence so we decided last year to fence the 1 side. Turned out 20 bred does last year from 200 inch genitics.

We have 1380 ac high fenced now.

Lean as hell too. When making sausage you have to add pork fat to it.

eta.....fences suck. What kind of hunting is that?

how the hell are the deer not spooked by the elk? Its not like its everyday a deer sees a elk walk up to a feeder if they are not native on your property.

Why should they be scared? They live in a fense, and don't worry about much. It has horns like them so they just call it Earl.
