Apologies if it's on here somewhere but "I Saw The Devil" (2010), Foreign Drama, despite a few problems, still a very solid, very violent film.

+ The Vicious Kind (entertaining, very under the radar movie with Adam Scott). I think it used to be on Instant, was taken off, and is back on.

Just a general question - is there a way to stream the tv shows without having to select each one or hit "play next in series" after each episode?
I'm lazy as frick. Getting off the couch sucks.

I watched Irréversible over the weekend.
Wiki
A French Drama/Thriller. It has some pretty graphic sexual imagry (a lot of it homosexual so fair warning) and segments of intense violence to go along with one of the hardest to watch scenes I've ever seen in a movie; a prolonged rape/beating scene.
From wiki:
The movie is also structured similar to Memento in that it starts at the "end" of the action and progresses to the "initiation" of it all.
Also from Wiki:
A little hard to watch at times but very interesting and, if this sounds intereting to you at all I think it's worth watching.
ETA: Sorry if it's already been mentioned. I searched the first page of the thread and didn't see it.

From wiki:
quote:
Audience reaction to both the lengthy, violent rape scene and the murder scene has ranged from appreciation of their artistic merits to leaving the theater in disgust.[6] Newsweek stated that "If outraged viewers (mostly women) at the Cannes Film Festival are any indication, this will be the most walked-out-of movie of 2003." In the same review, Newsweek's David Ansen suggested that the film displayed "an adolescent pride in its own ugliness".[7]

Also from Wiki:
quote:
Film critic Roger Ebert has argued that the film's structure makes it inherently moral; that by presenting vengeance before the acts that inspire it, we are forced to process the vengeance first, and therefore think more deeply about its implications.[5]

Not on instant, but I didn't want to start a thread for this uniquely crappy, hokie, movie.
Transylvania 6-5000 is on Encore Mystery right now. This movie is so bad it's funny. Ed Begley Jr and Jeff Goldblum.

"Murder in the First" (1995)
Great movie about a prisoner in solitary at Alcotraz...based on a true story
Not historically accurate though

Caught this the other day. Some scenes are hard to watch. I thought it was pretty good though.

You need a mini-dvi to HDMI converter. I am pretty sure that is the name..I got mine from the Apple store and it was $30. That or just get a Roku for $59 or an Apple TV, your best bet, for $99.

The Transcendent Man is a documentary I watched the other night.
It's about Ray Kurzweil. The guy has some really wild predictions about where we are headed technologically. He won a national science fair when he was in his teens in the 60's for building a computer that writes music like a composer after listening to that composer. Also talks a lot about the technological singularity theory. LINK
(sorry about the link quality, on my phone and the best i can come up with)
