I wish we were playing someone else first. I don't like these mega season openers. I like a directional school/glorified scrimmage first.

Bring them on. Having a premier schedule is great.

I agree. Let them bitch and moan about having to play us, not the other way around.

Now playing only 6 home games, I can quibble with that a little but I like being seen as a team that will take on all comers and make no excuses.

Because Jerry Jones offered the Athletic Department a lot of money to play the game.

Players like these types of games, in these type of venues.

Early loss to a team like Oregon will not hurt us if we win out in the SEC we still should have a decent shot at the NC.

LSU has a lot of alumni in Texas and recruiting in Texas.

First off... Oregon wasn't even close to a NC contender when we scheduled them. Do you know how scheduling works?

2nd it's a good thing that they are good now. I mean after all, I you want to be the best, you've got to beat the best.

3rd if you want to shy away from competition go be a Boise state fan and see how quickly they get into the BCSCG.

1. It puts us on a national stage for all to see.

2. They pay us alot of money to play these nuetral site games.

If you're skeered, say you're skeered. Don't be such a pussy. Would you rather they schedule a 1AA team?

have you noticed how the two directional schools have had their names changed since the Okie hoops coach famously said he wont schedule a multi directional because losing to a multi directional has such a negative hit.

SW La = U La La
NE La = U La M

THere is still NW Oklahoma. I think they are D III though.

2 reasons, money and attention. This is not stupid at all. We will make millions from this single game, and we will be in the national spotlight from the beginning of the year. If we win, that could propel us on a championship run.

Early in the year... Oregon didn't start the year as a top 10 team you know that right?

So you're already conceding defeat, nice.

I love the fact we're playing them. I'm banking on our QB problems being rectified and we pull one off.

I'm not sure exactly what they return but seem to recall that they return most of their starters. That correct?

What, you're penciling in a "W"? Given what I see now I'd say we're in trouble but posted about hoping our QB problems are no longer.

Still, I love having a quality OOC game.
