I don't really think you can judge Loston or Shepard just yet. Let them at least play their junior years out. Toliver on the other hand, had Jefferson trying to run the offense his junior and senior year. Toliver had a few plays displaying his ability, but never any consistency due to the lack of qb play.

Only about 1/5 5* player actually lives up to the hype.
Justin Vincent - had a great run in 2003 toward the National Title but got lazy and unproductive. Maurice Clarrett minus the thug passion. I'd say he was a semi bust, b/c he did help LSU win a title.
Xavier Carter - plain and simple Bennie Brazell style BUST.
Early Doucet - I think he was electrifying when healthy and definitely won some games for LSU but I still have to say semi bust here.
Claude Wroten - BUST
Ryan Perriloux - Thug life semi bust. Again, he helped LSU win a National Title, but in the end he couldn't keep his nose clean and f***ed LSU for a few years.
Keiland Williams - Maybe he wasn't used correctly, maybe he wasn't given enough opportunities to seperate himself from the pack... or just maybe... he was a BUST.
Al Woods - BUST x 2
Chad Jones - semi bust. Was a great athletic two sport player. But never progressed.
Terrance Tolliver - to many drops, BUST.
Patrick Peterson - the rare
Chris Davenport - so far, he is on the path to BUST
Craig Loston - I want this guy to be as good as he was billed, but i remember seeing him miss a few game breaking INTs but he still has time.
Ruben Randle - may be another one of those rare players like PP7. This guy needs to be targeted more.
Russell Shephard - I think he should have been used different. LSU doesn't run the offense that UF does and therefore Shep =/= Harvin. Feel like he should take some direct snaps... because as a wideout he is smelling like a bust. (blame it on the QB or OC you can't deny it)
Spencer Ware - I like what i have seen so far in limited touches. Should be a battle between Ford, Ware, and Hilliard/Hill for carries in the future.

I'm not the grammar patrol but the wrong use of to, too, and two really bothers me. It's like you didn't pay attention in grades 4-6.
Nonetheless, I don't really think Wroten was a bust at LSU. How do you figure Wroten was a bust at LSu? Maybe in the NFL or maybe because his draft status was lowered because he was caught with a large amount of weed after his senior season. District Att. actually declined the case to give the guy a chance. Dude loved the weed. Look up how many times he was suspended in the NFL. I thought he did really well at LSU. He only played two years for us.
Agree with most of your analysis, certainly Randle. Maybe better QB play with help him immensely because he could be really special. Better QB play could also help Shepard. He could be used like Bush is with the Saints. The threat of throwing downfield could help him greatly. Maybe Mettenberger will be as good as advertised and Shepard and Randle can show what they can really do.

WTF?!?! He was a First Team All-American and All-SEC. Wroten was a beast at LSU.

Al Woods - BUST x 2
That's a little strong. He's not the sack happy penetrating DT like Dorsey or Nevis, but he's the run stopping big body who takes up blocks like Favorite. He did his job which is a thankless one. Solid role player who doesn't live up to the hype of people who can't appreciate solid role players. "BUST x 2" is wrong.

Terrance Tolliver - to many drops, BUST.
Hasn't lived up to the hype, but hasn't had a decent QB since his freshman year when he was, oh yeah Freshman All-SEC.

Chris Davenport - so far, he is on the path to BUST
See Al Woods above. You have to know what you are getting with these big bodies.

Sam Montgomery was having an excellent year until Tennessee...well you know...
Montogomery was a 5* correct? I believe he was MEETING the expectations of a 5* for sure.

This is probably germas but LSU's best players haven't always been 5* to begin with. This is a over-killed example but Hester fits that profile. He was maybe a 3* coming out of a HS and he was a damn good RB.
