No question that the "doom and gloom" vocal minority of our fanbase, primarily represented on the TR, caused the Capital One to stay away from our Tigers and a more nationally compelling matchup against a conference champion.

ETA: Like Michigan State, A&M had the best record in their conference

Be sure to blame the NegaTigers if we lose to A&M.

I know you will anyway...

The Capital One bowl sucks anyway, and since I'm not being paid personally by the bowl that selects us to play, I can give a rat's arse if we play in the Capital One Bowl.

Reviving the A&M game will do wonders for the Old Tiger fans. There is probably more hatred to A&M than Ole Miss, Auburn, and Bama combined.

You do realize that most conference champs go to BCS bowl, or were you eyeing that SunBelt New Orleans Bowl matchup?

I am what you would call a posi-tiger all the way and i call bullshite on that. It was a mutual decision that benefited both LSU and the cap 1 bowl. How can you guys not see that?

no question? i think there are questions. to me, a minority view on a web site does not determine bowl selection. so, the cap one people go to message boards as a tool to make their selections. let's see...."well john, i don't like several of the posters on the tiger rant so let's can 'em. i know they'll travel well and spend a buch of money here in recesssion ravaged orlando, but i really dislike this guy named maximus and this guy named.....etc"

The same nega's that lost that game in Arky. I hope LSU never again go to the crap 1 bowl, especially after last years mudfest. This will be a rehearsal for next years game with Oregon.

From what I have read LSU players, coaches and fans would have rather gone to the Cotton Bowl than the Capital One.

LSU pre-sold many more tickets to the Cotton than to the Cap One which means the fans interest was higher.

LSU will probably get more exposure from the Cotton than it would have from the Capital One.

wrong....we played our way into the 'cotton bowl' and we had better take da' aggies very seriously. the venue is first rate and the metro Dallas area is a fertile recruiting local. both teams are on the rise and this game will be a stepping stone for 2011.

Good. Then we've finally accomplished something. If nobody wanted to go back to the Crap One Bowl, why should they invite us? It was more about money and selling overpriced tickets than anything else.

And, do you think our 10-2 record had anything to do with our bowl selection? How did the negatigers make us lose to Arkansas?

it does not suck. Nice bowl. ive been a couple of times and had a blast.

Orlando has plenty to do. More than Dallas.

Im happy with the Cotton, but the Capital One definitely does NOT suck.

I agree with this. There's no doubt that a revitalized Cotton Bowl, a former rival, a hot spot for our alums, and a hot spot for out recruiting are very appealing to us when a BCS bowl isn't possible.

The CapOne just had us and our fans are pissed about that experience (the field primarily). They had a chance to take the defending national champs and we were ok with it.

That's what I think happened.

I will not concede that the Cotton is better than the CapOne because it simply is a fact that CapOne gets first choice. The circumstances of 2010 make it an acceptable situation.

Damn I wish the negatigers did actually have power, then we wouldn't be bringing back so many shitty coaches
