Looking at Texas Tech's stats with Leach at the helm, running backs combined for an average of over 80 catches per season. Something to consider.

According to this year's stats, Ridley had 11 catches and Murphy had 10, but I can't recall a single one.

Is there anything he has said that leads us to believe he would take a coordinator's position?

I can recall a few. There were usually on 3rd down and about 3 yards short of the 1st down marker

Bunch of swing passes. The only RB to make receptions of any consequence is Ware.

Murph caught one on a swing for a good gain Sat and they called the same play again but Lee threw it too early and we had to punt.

People think leach is completely air raid but IMO thats because he knew that was the only way to hang with the big boys. I highly doubt with our solid stable of RB's he would just throw every play

Ridley - caught that little middle screen in the red zone en route to the 2nd TD this past game. I thought we'd use him more in the passing game this yr, but seems to be an Arky thing. he's had 4 catches vs. Arky in back to back yrs.

Murphy - had that catch on a screen vs UNC and fumbled. only memorable one

Ware looked good catching, and had a couple of the bigger "what mighta been" plays on wheel routes. damn you JJ's accuracy

I admit, I offered him the job yesterday. I promised him a real pirate ship in Destin, (You know the one) all the cajun food he could eat, Crownton's salary x2 if he has leading offense in SEC, and to personally help him look for the great pirate Lafitte's lost gold.

He is all in and awaiting the call. Belowpar, make it happen.

Leach uses the screen game in lieu of the running game. Backs that can catch (which I believe is nearly every one on our roster) are important to his offense.

I think even Leach would tell you that he believes the screen game to be a natural substitute for a traditional running game.

Exactly...this thread was for those that think that Running Backs should just shun LSU if Leach is hired as OC.

And guess what backs have to do in the NFL, catch the ball.

I don't understand why Miles would pursue Leach. Les probably wants stability and Leach will just use for a year or two and take a HC somewhere else.

Also, Would it not be just awesome that the two most disliked coaches by ESPN would team up and dominate.
