Maybe - usually coordinators from a SEC champ. team are hired on as HC somewhere. Coordinators from successful programs are often gone in 2 or 3 years anyway.

Herbie and James would have to deal with it. If LSU could go 12 and 0 it would be fun to watch them claim TCU and BSU are better.

Sounds like every third down play. We never throw the ball past the marker...

Leach could turn RS and Ware into superstars. Ware has been great catching the ball out of the backfield, and more opportunities of getting RS in space =

Thats allot of wheel routes.
Considering he will have better athletes at LSU I would guess Leach would run a variation of his offense, he may include some power running into that.

Holgorsen's a Leach protege that adapted the offense at OSU. 2200 rushing yds and 25 rushing TDs this yr. maybe the Pirate could call him for pointers. arrrrrr.

It would be interesting to see the stats for OU's offense when leach was there. I have no idea how to get them.

"RS in space =
"
I know what you are saying because I recommended to Lache Seastrunk that he should consider TT very strongly because of the space issue created by Leach's O.

Man Leach as a tiger would be so awesome. Leach is abbrasive and has a huge ego. But honestly, the guy is an offensive genius. To think that the tigers would desert the running game is a joke. I'd be willing to bet, with more certainty than anyone but Houston Nutt himself, that you WILL fear the wildtiger if Leach comes.
Who cares if he uses it as a stepping stone for another HC job In 3 years. Don't we want to use ANYTHING to get another champ?
Hypothetically, Leach would have to produce well and be good as a high profile OC first. Why shouldn't we get him?? Better us with Mett than who knows UGA and we have to defend him!
With a stable of backs, and future NFL recievers, we would LOVE the results with him at OC. Our fans know how to spoil a coach with praise (during the good times) which he in theory could be the missing piece of. I think our cocky fans are a perfect fit for Leach. He'll bring the swagger back to the offense AND the fanbase...... When he jumps ship he have Gonzales relax.

My thoughts on Leach coming here are in the other thread, but I heard him say something interesting during one of the CBS College Sports broadcasts this year that I think fits in this discussion. When asked about offensive balance, he didn't view it as run vs pass. He wanted balance in the number of touches for his playmakers, and it didn't matter if he had to throw or run to do it.

Leach and Miles would be like the enemy of my enemy, the most hated duo in the nation. With Miles' recruits and Leach's offensive genius, we would run the SEC a good 3 years.
Him or Holgorson is who I want. OC coaches that are great QB coaches.

i'm just adding some RUSHING stats
in 2008, when that offense was humming, there were 2 TTech backs who rushed for more than 750 yards
those 2 backs combined for more than 250 rushes
LINK
this fell off a bit in 2009, but he did have a back go for almost 900
LINK
while it isn't the traditional running game (which does open up arguments), he did start to run the ball at the end of his tenure at TTech

Look at what this guy did while at TT. He is from the town where my ranch is located.

Was Taurean the primary back that year or was there a good bit of running done by committee?
Posted on 11/30/10 at 11:48 am to alange
I think he was the main RB, but I have to believe he did not get 100% of the carries. T Henderson was not a fast RB so you can imagine what a guy like Lache Seastrunk could do in Leach's O.
