Anybody else think LSU does not deserve to be in NC consideration?

They have not looked like an NC team all year but managed to beat an overhyped Alabama team with uncharacteristically good play from their mediocre quarterback. LSU played their game of the year and probably won't be able to duplicate that effort again. If LSU had to play Auburn again, would you really bet on LSU? If LSU loses to Ole Miss or Arkansas, the same people that are putting LSU in the NC prematurely will be calling for Miles' job. Maybe it's out bipolar fanbase that's got me all riled up, but I'm just tired of the flip flopping. LSU has a very good defense and a very average offense. They'd be underdogs to Oregon, Boise St. and TCU on a neutral field.
I am a big LSU fan, but also a realistic one (or I guess a nega-tiger for those with purple and gold glasses on). I just haven't seen the level of play from LSU yet this year that would warrant the kind of consideration that most LSU fans think they deserve. Fire at will!

Maybe. Maybe not. But if they can duplicate that effort, then yes we deserve to be in consideration.

What's to be riled up about? Just be happy that we won.

No one will argue that we could beat anyone in the top 10 and lose to anyone in the top 10. Of course we deserve consideration.

Dont get your panties all in a wad so soon. Just wait and see how things work out. If LSU wins out they deserve every bit of glory. If they dont win out there will be no glory etc.
You also need to get some prespective on SOS. Last I saw Oregon was 101 , Boise and TCU were in the seventies and eighties. LSU on the other hand was right at the top 10% or so of SOS.
Its hard to wipe the field with other teams when they are highly ranked.

This isn't the best LSU team I've ever seen but in the world of the bcs the best team doesn't always win. 2006 LSU was the best team in the nation that year but slipped up.
All I know is LSU is 8-1 on a really hard schedule and desrve a shot at the title over tcu and Boise st, even w 2 losses. TCU is a solid team and would beat Boise St but neither team has earned the right to be mentioned in the title hunt. They've been tested on X's & O's but not mentally, physically, emotionally or depth.

You mean bashing our quarterback situation all year long? Even when we were 7-0. I believe you don't think LSU really deserves to be in the NC game even if we do win out.

no...I think the system is set for this year...if we play within the rules of that system and make it to the nc game, then we are one of the two most deserving teams in the country....

If LSU were to win out .....even ugly..and get to a championship game against any of these three I think Les Miles has proven time and again that he knows how to prepare his team to win big games. My money would be on the Tigers.

I just don't see why people have to immediately jump to NC considerations for LSU after the Alabama game when the majority of LSU fans have been complaining about Miles and LSU's offensive play all year. Now, they deserve to be the in the NC?? Maybe I'm just confused, or maybe my mind doesn't switch directions that quickly.

You don't recognize great defense when you see it.
So, you tend to overrate teams with high powered offenses. History has proven you wrong over and over again.
