Didn't need to show up they were already there. Fewer birds on the westside but that's always the case until about the first of January.

I think the weather will be MASSIVE suckage for opening weekend as far as the river is concerned. From what I see it's going to be very warm and rainy. That is a recipe for FOG on the river. With it being opening day tons of people will get in the river fog or no fog and it will be VERY dangerous.

I see we have a chance of breezy conditions this could be the savior, if we don't get a bunch of wind expect lots of fog and major suckage getting to and from the blind.

Fog would suck, As far as travle. No problem we are 5 min truck ride from the cabins. Don't need to even get on the road. Fog do't sound good, Have killed in fog though just didn't know they were there til they were there.

Corey, I don't worry about fog on the roads I worry about it in the river. I don't know if you have ever tried to run the river in a white out fog, but I assure you it's no fun. This is coming from someone who has radar on their boat.

We used to run the intercoastal in fog and it is scary. You have to go slow slow and stick to the bank. We'd even stop the boat every so often to listen for barges

On the river in a small boat, No. Big boat, yes. Used to have a lease in the back of Cut Off and we either got to it by way of Besson marina or old Bayou Blue, Foggy mornings in the dark were frickin scary as hell and avoided many widdow makers many times. Just saying that I don't have travel by river, And glad I don't.

Yall mfers were too fat on that wharf! I couldn't believe it sunk that far down. My ole man fixed it a couple of weeks ago. We are going to have to load test it next friday night.

It was still better than this.

I hunt in N. Miss. Our season doesn't open for a while, but I actually saw a good many ducks on Sunday. More than I expected actually...

Lots of ducks in SWLA. If you have water you have ducks.

Are we talking big ducks or others? We don't really talk much about ducks being here until we start getting mallards, pintails, etc...
