Went work on the blind this weekend in Lake Theriot and was very disappointed. Saw three or four droves of ring necks and about 30 poule d'eau.
The water was very low and some guys still managed to sink their boat.

That's miner's canal right by the entrance to lake hatch. Glad to hear someone is killing ducks in the area.

We used to hunt right there. We had a lease bordering Mandalay on minors. We slaughtered the mallards there in the late 90's and early 2000s

We hunted w/ the Lukes. You probably went to Central w/ them

Went speck hunting this morning. Killed one, winged one. Very surprised at the amount of ducks we saw. Had we been shooting ducks we could have limited out in 30 minutes or so. Could have limited out in 30 seconds if we were blastin spoons. Saw a few groups of mallards, lots of teal and gads.

Brushed blinds this weekend on the east side of the river in Plaquemines Parish. Lots of grass in the ponds. We haven't seen that much grass in several years. A we saw a good number of birds. Once we got to the lease, we jumped two large bodies of teal, a large flock of wigeon and several bands of grey ducks. It looked promising...certainly enough to make you want to be there for opening weekend.

Well damn. I want to know how they managed that

But on the report, went to my to leases in Delacroix yesterday. There is more ducks on my 2 pieces of land than you could shake a stick at. Should be a great year.

Went to my property yesterday. We have thousands of ducks. Teal, gadwalls, mottleds, shovelers, black mallards, everything everywhere. It is going to be a good season no doubt.

Where do you hunt?
And thousands is no overestimation. They are like mosquitoes.

I just want to know how the hell someone sank that boat. I might were they a bunch of gumps trying to kill themselves after the game?

I hunt out of Reggio and no thousands is not an overestimation. I probably scared up 500 bw out of just one pond while scouting. Can't wait.

The water is dropping fine in my lease. We should be able to hunt it the first split this year. It has been flooded the last two years due to the Mississippi river backing up into it. There are a shite load of big ducks holding there now.
