Ralph's Market sometimes, and I notice that the expiration date is sometimes 3 to 4 weeks long from the date purchased....Is that right? Will Chicken Salad keep that long in the fridge?

Sound like a good way to get explosive diarrhea IMO. I don't keep food past a week.

I can't imagine keeping that for more than a week.

It's fine. They wouldn't risk it otherwise. There's enough salt in there to preserve it.

3 to 4 weeks sounds a bit long. Is there any nutritional label? I would be interested to see the sodium levels per serving.

Sure...if your feeding it to the cat.

Only if the litter box has a twelve gallon capacity.

I try to stay away forom pre made refridgerated foods like that. Lots of preservatives. Get stuff from a reputable deli that rotates product. Good chicken salad is not that hard to find. Don't buy something that sits in the case for a month or two.

Of course not. In NO they are Hondurans.

Actually most of my gang in New Orleans are Cuban. Some from El Salvador. Great guys. Work like Mexicans.

It's pretty good, and there's no way that I'd ever eat chicken salad in the fridge past 5 or 6 days no matter what the label says.
I'm gonna have to try Calvin's too. I understand that their's, just like Ralph's comes pre-made from somewhere. I wonder how long the eat-by date is on Calvin's chicken salad.

I will tell you what - I had an Arby's pecan chicken salad sandwich last night and it was surprisingly really really good
