Zippy's does suck unless you have like 2 large Rednecks. Then, maybe, just maybe, their food might be edible.

Am Mart is far from being the best sandwich in Baton Rouge.

It's an opinion, champ. Just like my opinion that Zippy's is horrible.

What is not opinion is the fact that Central is not Baton Rouge.

Nothing. I was talking about the 3-4 people that brought up the Mobil in Central.

Same thing. If you live in a suberb outside a city anywhere, you still consider yourself a resident of the city.

Do you think people from Central go on vacation and say they're from City of Central, LA? LAWLLLLLWLLLL

Wait, let me get this straigh. You're saying that the best food in central comes from the Mobile Gas Station?

Well, I have to say that I find that quite disheartening in so many ways, that the best food in Central can be found at the fillin station, and that you think what you eat there is superior to Sammys. Not granted, I've not eaten at Sammys in Central, so I couldn't tell you if they fail or not, but if it's like the one off Highland here in BR, then I just can't take you seriously EVER in regard to food. Sammys here actually cooks real potatoes and mashes them themself in the kitchen, like really does it with fire and everything. I'm pretty sure that the Mobile gas station in Central, if they serve plate lunches, gets the same old tired potato powder every other one does and slaps it together, if they even go that far. It probably comes straight out of a container pre-mixed if I had to bet.

sammys food is bland imo.

ill take dempsys over sammys any day of the week.

the mobile stations burgers blow sammys out the water, the roast beef too.

I notice very little difference in the two, but Dempsys over salts their food sometimes. At least the one off Coursey does.

I can't imagine they are buying kobe beef, and I HIGHLY doubt that the Mobile gas station is cooking their own roast beef either.

Don't have to. I know exactly how every one of them operate, and besides putting grill marks on some protein MAYBE, there isn't any cooking going on. Everything is pre-packaged and ready to be re-heated. It's the way all these places work, and although it's clearly better than McIdiot, to say they are doing something that Sammys isn't is absurd, and yes rutiger, I really do know what I'm talking about.

Tell you what. Here'a a sure fire way to find out. Do they have fryers, ovens, tilt skillet, alto shaams, speed racks, a big 30 qt braizer? I'm not talking about pressure cooker fryers with timers on them, or microwave ovens. Then it's not happening there. They aren't cooking their roast beef. They are buying roast beef from a purveyor already cooked and ready to go just like every other Tom Dick and Harry that wants to serve food but doesn't know their arse from a hole in the ground in the kitchen, and can't afford to hire someone who can cook so they have to dumb it down to it's lowest level so that anyone can do it.

It's just the way it's organized at these places today rutiger. Hey... GO ASK THEM.
