On the play before the debacle, Ridley runs right and makes a hell of a block in the endzone. Jefferson runs behind him and breaks straight to go into the endzone but gets tackled by the linebackers. If he breaks right, instead of straight forward Ridley's tackle opened the whole right side for him to walk in

Yes, I thought for sure JJ was going to score on that play. Oh well Dooley was there to make sure we got to run Rid on the toss

The Riverboat Gambler was positive JJ would score on that play. He didn't know what to do when he didn't.

noticed the same thing....tons of open green grass if he stays to the right. I think he thought he was built like a tank on that play

Jefferson is not a good running QB. Miles doesn't understand that. The first play was a fluke. JJ did nothing to make the UT safety miss. Yesterday, someone posted JJ's running stats before that one 83 yard run. They show what most of the fans know, JJ just isn't a good runner.

The worst part is that Miles will probably keep trotting JJ out there, "because he can run and throw".

I personally think Its absolute BS to penalize Tenn on the last platy of the game for too many players on the field, and not penalize the LSU players for taking their helmets off. Fair is fair, and they did Tennessee wrong.

peace.

Just out of curiosity, did they also take out the carries and yards lost due to sacks? Because in college, sacks come off of the rushing total.

if you're going to make dumb comments, at least search the posts to see if such dumb comments have been made and shot down before.

it's not illegal to take your fricking helmet off after time expires in the game. AND see above re Tenn players, AND see previous posts re offsetting penalties, and there's a replay of down in any event. or just be dumb. your choice.

Do you think it's fair for Tenn coaches and players to be on the field during the last play?

Fair is fair, right?

I thought the same thing. Jefferson read the block wrong and took the wrong angle to the end zone. It appeared Jefferson could have scored on that play if he had followed his blocks.

We all knew JJ was in the game to run a QB dive, QB sweep or QB option. He was not going to throw the ball. If that was going to be your play call, this would have been the oportune time to put Shep, PP, RR, Ridley or some other more talented runner in the wildcat formation and let them find the endzone.

If they do that, they would need to penalize the entire TN team for doing the same...and storming the field. So, Offsetting unsportsmanlike conducts, and illegal participation on TN. Back to square 1.

Try again.
