Richt is going to be gone, more than likely, from UGA. He can coach QBs and knows offense. Would he make a great OC?

in a hearbeat

but he's not going down to OC

if he can't get a decent HC gig, he'll take a year or 2 off and then find a job as a HC somewhere. he'll prolly go the analyst route. i just don't see him demoting himself to OC after being a HC in the SEC for 10 years and winning a few SEC titles

Anyone would be fine here if CLM would keep his hands out of the playbook and that includes GC

he was a great OC and if that were his only responsibilities Im sure he'd be great at it again. Would Miles, assuming he's still here, let him have full reign over the philosophy and play calling??

Hell yes. I said this Saturday night when they lost to Colorado. He was at FSU and they had good qb's and good offenses. His problems have been the defense lately and the thugs they recruit.

I don't think Richt will be considered or be interested. He would be awesome coaching the talent we have and the talent currently committed for 2011 - if that holds up after this year.

But the irony of ironies - he'd be coaching Mettenberger who he kicked off his UGA team!!

Les is the problem. He needs to stop overiring play calls. Les gets a woody calling the option and QB draw

Absolutely, but I don't think he'd go back to being an OC.

Richt was a big loss for FSU when he left for UGA. FSU struggled on offense for many a year afterward.

I bet he'd be cheaper than the combination of a Miles buyout plus hiring a new legitimate Head Coach.
