So we will just assume, for decompaction purposes, that they are holy, ancient, burial grounds.

I showed you an article that disproves your claim.

Apparently the only argument for saving the mounds is to act like a retard and to believe that a 30 pound kid causes more dammage than a 1000 pound lawnmower or a hydrolic post gived into the mound to take a soil sample.
have you ever considered that maybe you should defer to the experts once in a while? how's your relationship with your doctor?

compare the rate of wear over the last 6000 to the damage done by the archeology dept when they stuck that big pipe down the middle of the mound and found nothing.

not sure that you understand any geology or structural mechanics, but try to think of CUMULATIVE effects bro.
Provide the science then...
Just saying you know something means shite here..
explain how the multi weekly cutting by 1000+ pound lawnmowere PLUS people actually causing dammage to the overall structure by infusing a post deep into it for a soil sample causes LESS dammage than a few tiny kids on slide 7 days a year.
If you need to post a picture of your proof thats fine.

The same people fighting for the survival of dirt are likely the same people that would love to take a shite on the Vietnam memorial. Many of them certainly treated the soldiers that way.
Oh my god our stupidity has reached a new level now.
LSU asked people to stop parking on the trees and it was like a declaration of war.
Now LSU asks people to stop sliding on the indian mounds, again a declaration of war.
If LSU asks you to do it. Do it. Its not your right as a football fan to do whatever the frick you want. It's LSU's land.

The fact that they're 6000 years old and in need of preservation for all of mankind
you make things into fact that aren't fact and then make outlandish and irrational analogies to try to prove your point.
If they've survived 6000 years as you say, show me where it's a FACT that they now must be preserved. And your shitting on the vietnam memorial analogy compared to the mounds is off base. If they're just hills used for looking at the river, that's not quite the same as the vietnam memorial in terms of importance. If all they are, are high ground look out points, then they are quite simply, hills. Now they have more cultural significance than that to LSU and to me, but all these people talking about burial grounds and ancient artifacts being there are off base, based on past research and other archeologists

Maybe you should read what that was in reference to. I didnt bring up Vietnam. The guy made a comparison like I would care that they took a shite on the wall.

I'm not trying to lead a sladerous argument here. I'm trying to lead a logical argument. The people on this board throwing out claims of sacred burial gounds, and also the ones mocking people for being rednecks and what not have yet to make any sensible argument.

I dont care if they slide or not.. Its the absurd statement that the KIDS are causing the dammage is what I find incredible retarded.
These mounds are being cut not by magic but by extremely heavy lawnmowers. Its just pathetic to claim that any dammage found is the cause of kids on the mounds 7 days a year and has nothing to do with anything else.
What does LSU have more control over? 5 year olds or their own lawm maintenance staff and procedures?

Did you or did you not state that the people wanting to stop the kids from sliding on the mounds are the same people who would like to take a shite on the Vietnam memorial?
I reread what you wrote. I stand by what I posted. We have reached a new level.

I agree!
The burden of proof is on them!! And Until then, I will slide my butt down any hill I so desire.

don't forget about that rebel flag ruckus a few years back. it's all the same "tradition" and "pussification" memes being thrown around by the Rush Limbaugh herd.

does it really matter why they asked people to stay off of them? It's LSU property, and if they asked people to stay off, people should respect that and stay the hell off
Posted on 10/1/10 at 10:03 am to Camp Randall
I stated that many of the people that are behind this did not support the Vietnam war and disgraced many of the people that died doing what they were told.. YES
I never made the analogy of shitting on the wall though.

Sensible argument? Ok
Answer this. Does LSU have the right to say what is permissable on it's campus? Can they restrict access to an area which they own?

I dont think the band should not be allowed to congregate by the ampitheater anymore. The human methane gas concentration from the tuba players warming up is killing the baby pigeons.

LSU can do whatever they want..
But why is LSU claiming to protect something from something then turn around and drive heavy machinery on it?
Why are people against kids on the mounds but not the lawncare methods? If you are going to protect them then protect them from everything.
The same people that want to "save" these mounds ALSO want to EXCAVATE IT!
How long were the pyramids around before people started to excavate them in the name of science??
