LSU v. Tenn 2000

Rohan Davey came in for the original starter Josh Booty and had a stellar game and changed the LSU offense for the next 2 years. Hopefully a repeat performance at the QB position.

Also, note at the 3:30 mark Chavis squirming in his seat, thought it was funny.

A young tiger fan @ 24, Rohan is my favorite LSU QB of alltime!

Wow, it's been 10 years already.

I'll never forget that night. As far as I'm concerned, that game put LSU football back on the map, nationally. We had turned a corner.

Nice touch on passes by Rohan. Davey to Reed connection was unstoppable. Alabama fans still cringe when Rohan-to-Reed is mentioned.
Boy, Josh Reed had passion. Did you see the exhiliration he showed after scoring and congratulating Toefield on his TD as well.

I think Florida '97 did more in that regard.

Growing up watching him I have a special attachment as well. He and Herb Tyler I remember like it was yesterday. Good old days

It was a step along the way. However, we had 2 consecutive losing seasons after that. In those terms, I tend to look upon that win as more of a fluke thing.

Hard to believe it's been 10 years. 3 plays I will never forget:

Toefield's run
Davey to Royal on the first play in OT
James knocking down Tenn. pass on 4th down

Yeah, I agree. The 97 Florida win, did a lot for us, but the 2001 win against Tenn, was THE game that were still feeling the effects from today. Its been a good 10 years, lets keep it going!

It was the first game I actually ran on the field. I can still remember all the fans standing on the sideline waiting to run on the field. That was one magical game for me.

It was weird seeing our qb throw the ball more than 5 yards downfield

It'll be weird if that ever happens again as well.

And you would be an even bigger idiot if you can't see why someone would think that. That game proved one thing: If Dinardo can coach up a little bit of Louisiana talent to go 10-2 with a win over Florida, then a real coach could turn this area into a championship town. It took a couple of more years, but Saban came here before that 2000 game for a reason.

Man what a game.

I'll cherish the image of the fans rushing the field, as we probably won't see that again for a long time.

Cool, but we were 9-3 in 1997.

Look how Rohan put that pass out there to Reed with touch about the 3:30 mark. Could you imagine if Jefferson could float one out there to Shep like that!
