its predictable because jordan is too dumb to know the playbook. it wasn't predictable under flynn

It was a completely different playbook. How many times are posters going to make themselves look like an arse in regards to this topic?

all this is doing is pissing away a year where we could have won the NC with even mildly competent QB play.

Jefferson has played poorly, but for people to completely dismiss just how bad of an offensive scheme we run is amazing to me. No QB has ever run this scheme well - none. Why does anyone expect anything different out of the next guy to take a shot?

I think we should all chill. JL will be playing and taking all of the snaps in the not-to-distant future.

The question is, will there be changes to the offense before we loose a game? We need to change things pronto before we travel to Florida.

Jefferson and Miles should be booed loud and long on Saturday

Wait...I thought the story line was to be that no one was booing any players.

Why don't we start the booing now:

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

Matt Flynn didn't run this offense.

This is not a secret.

basically, yes.

In 2007, we ran the hybrid Jimbo/Miles offense that we ran in 2005 and 2006. We did a few things different - like the pistol and some option sweeps with Perrilloux - but by and large, it was the 2006 offense.

After 2007, Crowton installed his offense. The same offense he ran at BYU and Oregon (kind of). It's been downhill ever since.

Actually, Crowton attempted to run the exact same offense in 08 that he did in 07. He only began changing it when he realized that he didn't have the man power at qb to run the former offense.

No, he didn't. Crowton didn't install this offense until 2008. Miles wouldn't let him because our 2007 teams was packed with seniors who had been in the other offense for three and four years.

Sorry man. They installed the option read in 2008. They definitely started running a ton of read routes and thats what was killing Lee.

He would lock in on the primary and guess the route.

oh shite, dead fish AND moss are now spewing this crap!

hate to tell you. it's the same freaking offense. Combo of spread and I. difference is flynn, herm johnson, q johnson, and b. helms, aren't here anymore. they had a huge part of making it work.

k.w. ran the option to the short side for a t.d. against v tech., flynn ran the five wides, 4 wides, three wides, two t.e's, power I, and pistol.

you forget the scott one back set middle screen for a t.d. against v tech. something JIMBO NEVER RAN. The bubble screen, WHICH JIMBO RAN EVERY OTHER PLAY, was RARELY, run. We used R.P. in a tebow package that we never did before. I wont get into the richard dickson plays in the n.c. game that were never run before. Jimbo threw the rb's twice as much as we did in the 07 season.

geeze, i don't get u people that come up with this crap. we get you hate crowton or miles. nick saban didn't run the defense in the 07 season and jimbo didn't run the o in the 07 season.

like it or hate it, miles and crowton get credit for the 07 season and n.c. it was THEIR offense.

chances are, you wouldn't mind this offense if those players were still running it.

saying they aren't adapting to the talent they have today is a much more valid point/argument.

Do plays change the fact that he throw the ball 5 feet over the receiver's head or 5 yards in front of him? Do plays change the fact that on option plays he never pitches it? Do plays dictate that he stands there and looks scared to make a mistake? No.

Just for comparison sake. JJ has thrown 2 TDs this year and 4 INTs...he doesn't take care of the ball...

Seems to me I remember a statement from Miles that its his job to put his players in the best position to succeed. Well he is failing badly in this regard. He continues to destroy any confidence JJ might have had and not playing JL more already this season has got to be effecting him as well. Please CLM recognize the boos are for you and your staff, not our players who actually "work" at getting better every week. Sorry the same cannot be said for you and your staff. I thing Smacker better smack her dad and wake him up.

The only way Jarrett Lee will start another game at LSU or see meaningful playing time is if Jefferson gets hurt and is knocked out of action. Miles has already shown there is no other way possible for it to happen.

You're exactly right. It will take a JJ injury or for him to play so horribly that it costs LSU a game. Only then will we see a change.

UAB's QB tandem threw for more than 400 yards against Tennessee. You would think that even on a bad day that Lee might be able to exploit their terrible pass defense. I can't think of a better time to give him a chance to show what he can do. If he sucks, pull him and put JJ back in, but at least give him the opportunity.

I just watched it and I don't recall him saying anyone in particular is starting, although we all know JJ is the starter.

Unreal, One excuse after the other. TYpical of LM. I have always supported him till the last 3 games, but my time there is over. Especially after his remarks about PP's celebration penalty. That really got under my skin.
