I think our offense is perfect for BYU and other schools that need gimics and multiple formations just to compete.

When you have athletes I prefer simpler and then just execute.

Miles is a one QB guy. If Spurier was our coach JJ and Lee would play this out on the field. The old ball coach knows that how well the QB's perform with fannies in the stands often separates the men from the boy's. Miles committed to Lee and then to JJ without knowing what they would do under the lights. He named a starter without having all the facts. Plus he didn't recruit a better option nor go after a JC player. As a result we are stuck with a tentative QB who at best we win 9 games with. At worse we win 7. The defense will win 7 even with a half arse Q.

At the moment, Jefferson is a bit on coaching overload. This week Miles and Crowton are going to try to give him less to do at the line of scrimmage and less to remember so he can just play more naturally. Look for more roll outs and sprint outs.

Quote from the Tiger rant....Any thoughts on this??

i dunno how to feel about this. its probably a good thing. on the other hand it cant be a good thing to continue to dumb down your gameplan because your guy cant run the offense. its not something that inspires a lot of confidence to hear

I just don't know if Jarrett"Pick 6" Lee is a good choice; he might be a better choice as far as leading the team down the field. However, if Crowton plays it tight, he will not allow either QB down the field and no points are better than allowing the other team to score 6!

JJ has looked good doing this in the past, but Miles and Crowton seem to stubbornly want to make him a pocket passer, and have abandoned the roll/sprint out.

seems like we have to continue to dumb the offense down more and more to accommodate JJ's lack of ability, at what point is enough enough?

Not trying to be a dick; I just remember all too well 2008 when he made mistake after mistake. I am all in favor of giving the guy another chance but I think either way the slow, steady rushing offense and minimizing mistakes is the way to go with this defense!

I still don't understand why you can't have them both ready for the game and let both of them play.

It's not like either one has played well enough to force you to play them.

JJ knows he has the job won and he hasn't gotten better in the last 15 games. If nothing else you have to play Lee just to let JJ know he can't continue his suck arse play.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. In the least when Lee is in the game, you know the coaches will shelve the retarded arse QB runs and options.

He was a RS Freshman, dickwad! How many INTs did Colt McCoy throw his Freshman and Sophomore years?

besides the interceptions, do you have any idea what you're talking about?

have you even looked at the rest of his numbers? As a frosh??

You have a junior in JJ who cant make ANY of the necessary downfield throws, hell he cant even hit a receiver in stride in the flat...

You do realize that with no vertical passing threat, opponents will stack the box? that will limit our rushing game, and put even MORE pressure on our defense to play lights out every game?

Won't be able to run the ball very well against more physical teams with better corners because no one will respect JJ's ability to pass.

minimizing mistakes

Like throwing badly underthrown INTs in the endzone and fumbling 3 times. Not to mention all the other mental errors he makes throughout games.

I really could care less who is in. I just would like for whoever is in to play good and right now JJ is not doing that. The sad thing is Miles will practice JJ as the starter and will not prepare Lee for success.

I think we are doing this all wrong. The more Les is pressed to do something, the more he resists. He will never admit to being wrong about something. So all the clamoring (with stats) for Lee (and Ford) is actually having the opposite effect. We should all start calling for him never to play Lee, and to show that he is the boss, he will put him on the field. Les may be a great man, but he is certainly not worthy of being LSU's head coach...too damned hard headed for one thing. How he has kept Lee here with zip for playing time is beyond me. Les is the one who threw him to the wolves...he owes him a chance if he is any kind of stand up guy.
