at least until one of them show they can be a leader of the offense. I see no reason why we shouldn't give each QB a few series to see who has the hot hand for the game.

I'm not a big fan of a 2 QB system, but I do think that JL deserves an opportunity to run the offense while we are early in the season.
It sure as shite don't get any easier a couple weeks from now.

I think we should see both qbs. But i don tthink we need a 2 qb system. Just like with rbs...we need to stick with one main guy and use the others when necessary.

JJ is the named leader by the coaching staff, but he's not leading by example with play on the field and the whole team knows it. If they don't play JL some, it will hurt morale on the team.

no, not unless it's completely scripted, and mixes up strategy. I certainly don't want a repeat of 04 with either QB afraid to make a little slip-up.

With that said, what could be done is the following...

1. Run mostly traditional play-action, pro-style offense with either Lee or JJ
2. Dump the 5 wide stuff...neither QB has ever had any success here
3. If you want to include some option / zone read stuff, let Shepard or Ware run it

For those wanting this, be careful what you wish for.

If this hasn't happened by now, it's not going to ever happen. Too many people here hoping for a miracle with our QB play.

They both are horrible. At this point, it comes down to the least horrible option. I'd give Lee a shot to see if that's him. But after watching him against LaTech and Bama last year, don't hold your breath.

No!

That only leads to you having 2 QB's who are not getting the playing time needed to develop instead of one.

If JL isn't better than JJ, he is damn sure close enough to warrant some playing time

while i'm not a big fan of a two qb system, i think our present situation calls for it and it will help our team win games. it would present problems for opposing defenses. however, i do not think rotating them every series or two will work. maybe go with the hot hand or give 'em a half each and see what happens. this would be a REAL qb competition.

At this point, after watching the first two games, I say YES. I said it during the Vandy game.

It may be that neither QB can handle a full game, and need to spend time watching the offense from the sidelines.

They might actually both do better, and it might help keep defenses guessing just a little bit.

In order to use a two QB system, you first have to have 2 QBs. Currently we don't have any who have can perform. The only QB we had, left before the season started
