Statements like this are why it is hard to support Les

"The back end of the game being up 30-10, defensively we need to understand the situation that our opponent is in. We were all on the sidelines telling them that this was the time they were going to take a deep shot. We got that communicated to the field, but the difference is they didn't understand exactly what we were saying. It was a young corner in his first start, but a very talented corner that will eventually get this right and understand how to cover those routes. "
He always blames someone else. Just like when he blamed JJ for spiking the ball when he was clearly signalling for it. The fact is that they were in man coverage at the three yard line with a true freshman in the game. Patrick peterson said he was not in because they wanted to get young guys in. Maybe play some zone and not give up the big play while your best player is out. That is a coaching misstake and I just want him to admit it.

He's saying that the coaching call was correct and that it was an individual mistake. There's nothing wrong with clearing up a misconception.
It's pretty obvious it was an individual mistake too. It's also pretty obvious (after the fact) that Les was not calling for a spike during the Ole Miss game last year.

im not sure what you wanted him to say here. He said what happened but also said that he was very talented but inexperienced and he will learn.
ofcourse it is. everything is

I agree that after the fact Miles said he wasn't calling for a spike.

are you kidding, how is it miles fault that the def gave up a 97 yd touchdown. claiborne got burnt, he's young plus he should learn from it.

It's a coaches job to MAKE them understand. When your making $4 million a year it's your JOB to MAKE sure they understand, get the crap fixed.

Another coaching error. Wait till the nails have been driven into the coffin and then put the young puppies in.

It was a terrible decision to leave them in man to man, bad playcalling, that would be the point I think, take responsibility for that part. Although I guess that's Chavis' call.

It is obvious at this point, despite anything, that anything that the team does wrong is Miles' fault, and any successes the team has are individual player accomplishments.

I bet you almighty Saban would have said the exact same thing.
I recall him throwing Jamarcus Russel under the bus on many occasions when he did stupid crap... Saban would claim later in his pressers that he expressly warned him not to do.

This is really the only issue i have with the UNC game from a coaching standpoint.
But then again...ive been reading all offseason from the tards on this board how Miles should play more freshmen. Well there ya go...maybe the coaching staff does read this board.

Because it's a situation that they should have been COACHED for. If the kid can't pick up what is going on, he shouldn't be out there. This is what practice is for, knowing what to do and what to expect in these situation. Obviously, they were oblivious as they let the WR run right by them while waiting for the QB to get sacked.
Unprepared, coaches can be blamed for it. Player isn't without blame, but shite should have been addressed before it happened.

It may have been Chavis's bad call, so Miles should blame him. The players were put in a position not to succeed. Dont say that the players didnt understand what the play was.

Almighty Saban is the reason Goof Ball Miles has a job at LSU

Talk about laying blame. Why don't you save this crap for when and if we lose a game.

so, they teach the kid how not to bite on a double move, he bites on the double move and its the coaches fault?

Who has been evaluating Claiborne for all these months and felt that he was the best person to be in that situation and made the decision to put him there?

When you are dealing with young kids that know it all this is what you get. It is sad what these young punks have brought to the lsu fanbase. Although, there are many on this board posting as if they are fans of lsu but are not...just stirring the pot. It's fun to debate and hear well thought out opinions......but it's very old debating people who use no analysis or rational reasoning...just that miles sux. I personally wish these guys would find another team. It wasn't like that when we were coming up...we were united and LSU was the most intimidating place in america to come play a game. Now, this new generation of punks, they leave at halftime, boo when they are there....and through it all lsu is 52-15....geez.
