Remember LSU losing to KY and ARK in the same year and needing help from others to back their way into the title game. I'm afraid that's what people really remember about that year.

speaking of losses that year.....how do these three letters sound to you....ULM. Nice game gump. Oh, and UTAH...another nice game gump...way to open the door to all these piss ant teams arguments for a shot at a NC.

Passing attack or will this be the game where our lack of passing ability catch up with us?

No. WE are doomed. We will never pass the ball again, and teams will stack the line and shut down the run. We may not even beat ulm, and mcnese could be a toss up. CHRIST. You guys act as if we can't pass the ball at all. You guys have NO CLUE as to what lsu has been doing the past few weeks. Staying very conservative, trying to build confidence in JJ, and knowing LSU has the talent to just simply overwhelm the past couple teams if they play smart, conservative football. You seem to forget that jefferson was having one of the best games of the year for him last year until he was knocked out of the bama game...and that was against arguably against the best D in the country. We are very capable of passing the ball, and will. You guys need to fricking freaking out.

The Big East should not even be a BCS Conference...period. I love when fans of teams like this come on here and talk shite. You have no chance, and I'm being honest. You haven't seen a defense like this in a long, long time. You might score a few points, maybe even 14-17...but lsu wins this game by at least 18 points and probably more. You will be out of the polls...but hey, you still have a great shot at winning the Big Least.

Tell me why I should believe LSU beats WVU....

I hope this is a joke. But I'll play along.

You don't have to believe it. Believe that WV will beat lsu. Then when you get your arse handed to you saturday night, you can sit there with an open mouth look of shock expression and i got something for it. lol

but we have the worst QB in college football and you cannot expect to win more than 10 games with that.

what a statement. shows your intelligence if you are being serious. apparently you haven't watched georgia's qb, tenn's qb, florida's qb, ole miss qb, state qb (surely you watched them)...vandy qb, ...and i'm not even sold at all on auburn's qb. they beat the frickin acc team, and only scored 17 on state....that statement = Major Fail.

IMHO I think we go 10-2. We should beat Aub and UF but I think we once again play Bama close but they pull away in the 4th with their running game. I also think Mallet will pick us apart and we will not produce enough points to keep up.We may get by with a lack of QB play against the lesser opponents but not against better competition.

I think you are seriously overrating the offense of arkansas. They are completely one dimensional and that dog don't hunt in the big games in the SEC. As for Bama, again, way too much credit imo. they have a good team. they have not faced a team with even a decent offense this week. They won't get a balanced offensive attack from arky either. IMHO....alabama is not as good as the past two years, and LSU is significantly better. Does this equal a win...time will tell, but for some of the people to say it isn't winnable...that's just stupidity or miles hating going on. Even realistic bama fans know they are in for one hell of a battle, just like every other year. I could see us actually beating them by more than one score, honestly. OUR D IS THAT GOOD and only going to get better.
quote:

If the O doesn't get better in a hurry we will struggle with every team besides Mcneese St.

LMAO. we just come off two three touchdown wins in the conference, and this guy is saying 8-4 with some breaks. and that we will struggle with everyone else. You guys are hilarious with your negative bs. It's beginning to make you look bad. A couple more wins, and you will just look ridiculous with your negative bs.
quote:

Alabama. No chance in my book.

hello bama fan ...how are you...obviously you are a bama fan.

In 2008 LSU was horrible, and takes bama to OT. In 2009, at alabama, lsu leads into the 4th quarter and probably wins without injuries to Jefferson (who was having a very good game) and charles scott (who was also having a very good game).

So we fastforward to 2010, when alabama is not as good as 2009 or 2008...and when lsu is significantly better than 2008 and 2009......and lsu has bama at home.......and yet we have no chance....lmao.

hello gump.

The flip side (good news) is that running the table makes us a lock for the big game.

Not necessarily. The computers should love us, but the polls are 2/3rds of the formula. With the potential for an unusually high number of undefeated teams who are already ahead of us (it could easily be 4 or 5), we could be #1 in the computers and as low as #5 or #6 in the polls. Under that scenario, it's very possible we wouldn't be in the top 2 going into the BCS, even if we are 13-0.

It would be very easy for the following teams who are currently ranked ahead of us to be undefeated going into the bowls and still ranked ahead of us in the polls:

1) Ohio State (Iowa, Wisconsin the only real obstacles)
2) Boise State (All hopes rest on Oregon State)
3) Oregon or Arizona (must hope that a tough Pac Ten beat up on each other)
4) TCU or Utah (no real obstacles except each other)
5) Big XII champion (OU, Texas or Nebraska--no real obstacles except each other)

We would probably leapfrog some or all of these in the computers based on our strength of schedule, but the poll voters are not as reliable as a mathematical formula, especially if we are mostly winning ugly. If we are all the way at #6 behind these teams, the computers may not be enough to pick us back up. This is particularly problematic with Oregon/Arizona, Ohio State and the Big XII champion, whose computer rankings

WELL now if it ain't good ole nuts......he has gone from his 7-5 predictions to telling us why we won't play for the NC even if we win out. LMAO. Good ole nuts, always the negative guy. Let me just say this nuts. LSU won't go undefeated. however, if they do, there ain't no way in hell that lsu would not play for the NC...they would have beaten bama, florida, arky, auburn, west virginia and then another top 10 team in the SEC championship...possibly a highly ranked South Carolina....plus, they would have beaten BAMA....you know...the team espn just ooohs and ahhhs over....We would likely play an undefeated Ohio State. No way a team like nebraska is ahead of us because we would be ranked right with them in polls, then the computers would punish them for their weak arse schedule and reward lsu......and i'm not even going to talk about boise or tcu or the pac 10.

I'm telling you, thats what you're gonna say every year with Miles. He'll win the games he's supposed to win, in an ugly way, and we'll never win the big ones

I should have stopped reading before I got here, but this takes the cake. LES WILL NEVER WIN THE BIG ONES. LMAO. He has a NC, 2 BCS Wins, and 2 SEC West Titles in 5 years...plus he has beaten several top ten opponents. LMAO. This guy is either a quack, or he is an imposter lsu fan. My gut is that he is an imposter lsu fan for sure, and possible quack.

Don't know you and know whether or not you are humble. I know you are a poor lsu fan and a classic negatiger. However, BBA, CPA and MBA from LSU.....there are some with more education...but not you...and definitely not the spook.

That may be true. But one thing I can assure you....education wise, you ain't even close bro.....and that's a fact.

Lot of LSU fans bash Miles

Posted by DunbartonTiger on 9/18/10 at 5:27 pm
the way tenn fans used to bash fulmer. Fulmer, who won a NC and then periodically won the East.....and they ran him off.....well, look how green the grass looks now for those brilliant people at tenn. They didn't want to have a mediocre year every now and then...lmao....negatigers suck. Geaux tigers...geaux miles. btw, jefferson isn't the worst in the SEC, and it ain't even close.

re: Does Ole Miss...

Posted by DunbartonTiger on 9/18/10 at 1:53 pm to
vandy not terrible..should have beaten northwestern in week 1...got a shot to beat ole miss. Ole Miss, Tenn and Georgia ALL look bad this year.

Where you at TCUEDENEDNE.....i'd like to meet you in person at the game...all that noise on here from you.

Does every conceivable factor work against State in this game, of course they do

Not coaching. We have much more talent but they are better coached and prepared, I believe.

I love these tools that slam our coaching staff all the time with opinions that cannot be qualified. This guy here...he is one of the ones that was hoping we could get jimbo fisher. What a fricking beatdown jimbo took the other day. State's coach is a good OC...you have absolutely no idea if he is a good head coach yet or not....who have they really beaten besides ole miss? Especially to say he is better than miles and more prepared than him. Miles if fricking 53-15 with all kinds of hardware. Miles is also 4-1 in bowls, and most of those have been dominant beatdowns.....isn't bowl games the games that really give the coaches time to prepare the most for another team. You tools, I swear.

Sports betting lines have nothing to do with actual odds of winning the game and they are not a prediction of anything other than how people will bet. The line is just to tease out an even amount of money bet on both teams so that the house profits off the commission and doesn't lose their shirt paying out winnings. They move the line up or down depending on what team is getting more bets.

LSU/Moo State opened at +8.5 and now it's down to +7.5.
LINK
Not much of a move in the line, but the fact the line had do to be adjusted downward indicates that initially more people were laying their money on Moo State. So at least half the betting public is willing to say Moo State will be within striking distance (a touchdown or less) of beating LSU.

wow...i'm sure we all on here are very thankful that you explained to us what drives betting lines and how they move up and down. GEEZ. I hope you are kidding. Secondly, BETTING LINES are the BEST INDICATOR of the outcome of a game...vs. some talking head tool on tv. GEEZ again.

Let's think about what they (The reporters) know......

1) LSU struggled mightily in the 2nd half against a very undermanned UNC team.....and without a Superman like performance from PP we might lose that game.

2) Our offense wasn't able to do jack squat against Vanderbilt...yes VANDERBILT...for over 3 quarters of football and our QB looked like a JR High kid playing QB.

3) State blasted Memphis albeit what they were supposed to do but they did it

4) State barely lost to Auburn who several of these writers would probably put as the 2nd-3rd best team in the west

Seems like a very very legit possibility based on what they have seen....now of course they don't have the level of knowledge that we have but even given our knowledge level I would still put LSU on upset alert

One of the biggest moron negatigers on here. What will you say when LSU hands it to Mississippi State yet again? I know, you will say at that point it is only Miss State. You love coming out dogging lsu so to speak, then if by some miracle state won the game you could get on here and beat your chest....but if lsu wins..and they will....then you will be on here saying it was only miss state. You will then talk about how west virginia is set up nicely to knock us off...then when lsu beats them you will say they were overranked. You are a joke.
this guy is NOT well respected in handicapping...period. Whoever told you that is full of it. Remember, this guy did not have us preseason even ranked if i recall...and he picked ole miss last year. He is all about the trendy picks because he doesn't actually do the research required to really know what the hell is going on.

are you serious? are you a college kid, or are you just ignorant? It's not ridleys fault because lsu should not be running the ball in the red zone? How fuucking stupid can you be.
